    We loved our meal at Sidedoor. Every plate we had was constructed with an abundance of flavor making for a truly remarkable experience. The small plate approach here is essential - there are so many intriguing things to try. The only downside was that our waiter seemed distracted and we went long periods without seeing him (our check finally had to be brought another server). For the food, though, this was a special spot.

    All the dishes were very well executed. Nothing groundbreaking but a polished and highly enjoyable. Nice layout as well; lively without being noisy and lots of interesting nooks for a really wide range of ambiance options. Would love to see a few sake choices, but wine list well curated.

    A stunning Asian fusion restaurant with excellent staff & delicious food. The chef was more than happy to accommodate food allergies too. Would highly recommend this restaurant in Ottawa.

    I used to work close to the byword Market and Sidedoor was my favorite restaurant. I haven’t been back since retiring 3 years ago. I took the opportunity without of town guests. Sidedoor did not disappoint. The outside court heard was delightful and the food was amazing. 5 people and we shared 6 dishes plus the doughnuts for dessert.
