Fantastic spot for a steak, pricey but lovely if you want to treat yourself. Food was u real and staff very friendly

Booked on line Welcomed at door no waiting around . Checked to see if our seat was as requested . Prompt snd efficient service . Have always found this a nice restaurant to eat in . The lady in charge of bookings greeted us with a warm welcome in a very pleasant manner .

Best food we’ve had in a long time with relaxed and informal service. The trout tartare (a cross between sashimi and a poke bowl) is the best thing I’ve tasted in a couple of years. The peanut butter parfait was delicate, creamy with a truly crunchy hazelnut chocolate slab and a set caramel sauce that was just perfectly this side of burnt. Fillet steak was delicious but not as stand out maybe as the other two; that’s not to take from it, it was perfectly rare, absolutely tender and was accompanied by a generous portion of really fresh béarnaise sauce. Great value.

The overall ambience, the staff and the food was excellent!! We were a family/party of 9 (age ranged from 16 to 80!!) and each one of us were delighted with our menu choices and quality/presentation of our meals!!

It was a pleasure to return to the Ivy for some comfort food on this cold dismal January afternoon. I enjoyed the same excellent, yet unfussy service as I’ve come to expect which is a credit to the entire team
