STK - London Ratings and Reviews
Great atmosphere with a live DJ which was good. As expected the restaurant was completely packed which had limited seating by the bar as you waited for your table. We didn’t get seated till 15 minutes after our reserved booking time. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Didn’t take long for our starter to arrive which was amazing. But for our main, this took about 45 minutes after we had finished our starter to arrive with the waiter even going to check where our order was twice. Some tables next to us were served quicker. Apart from the delay the overall experience was excellent and would happily return again
Where we were seated was very cold area, very close to the exit. The music played was good but too loud and I struggled to hear the person I was with and to constantly stretch over the table so we could hear each.
The chairs was comfortable but the height of the was too low for the table I was sitting on.
Would I go back to STK? It is the type of place you go with a group of people to celebrate, just make sure you are not sitting anywhere near the doors.
Food tasted amazing but I'm not convinced it was 950g. It seemed a bit on the small size. We has the cannonball offer - 950g steak and wine between 2 which we thought would be plenty but we went for desert as we were still hungry! Service was really good. I would try this place again.
Service was poor and slow, needed to constantly remind staff that something from our order was missing while other guests’ food and drinks kept being brought to our table. The food, while okay, doesn’t warrant the price tag. On the plus side, STK offers a young vibrant atmosphere with good music and a well-stocked bar.
We ate at STK Friday for my birthday. The Menu is quite limited we all went straight for main meal and disappointing that the side of spinach was not tasty and had a funny smell which we asked about and it wasn’t offered to replace the chicken was cooked in a curry paste not BBQ as on the menu. We felt very rushed and whilst I understand that there is a limit for each table they really want you out quickly. If your looking for scenery and good food without being rushed Sushi Samba or the Shard both offer just that.
Have been to STK a few times and this time it was definitely style over substance. Service was dreadful from getting drinks for the table to getting cutlery and food, very second rate. Steaks were not cooked to order, a medium was raw in the middle. The blue cheese and bacon topper looked like it had come from a greasy spoon cafe the bacon was barely cooked. The price they charge does not relate to the eating quality or service at this restaurant. Service in the bar afterwards was also lacking. Bill for 5 was a eye watering +£800 with only 3 bottles of wine. I will not return, you can get a better steak at Gaucho for half the price.
I was completely underwhelmed by the whole experience.
I was so upset that I chose here to celebrate my brothers 18th birthday, a celebration we can’t do again.
A restaurant called STK can’t cook a steak, sent back twice, utterly disappointing.
Our waiter was so obnoxious and dismissive, I asked to speak to a manager and he said ‘he’s busy - tell me the problem’ we paid nearly £400 for what was one of the worst dinners I’ve ever had but you have the money, so I doubt you care anyway.
Very rushed service, tables so close together so it feels very much like it’s all about money rather than that personal service.
It’s not a cheap restaurant so you would expect the service to match which it doesn’t quite live upto.
Very good atmosphere though if you like a lovely meal, loud music so not the place to go for a quiet date night.
We had the star deal and it was unbelievable the only thing that spoiled it was the persistence of the table manager who keep saying you only have 2 hours and come to the table now which was annoying as we were aware of this when booking.
The waitress didn't smile but the food made up for it.
However getting to the Radio bar was annoying and stressful. The restaurant told us we could use the hotel lift but when we got to the lift they sent us outside around the building in the rain to only come back in to the same place but on the other side slightly ridiculous when we are not 18 year olds.
All the tables had reserved signs on them but I managed to secure a table but it was sticky and dirty. I asked the bartender if someone could clean it but he was too busy chatting to his friend.
Overall we had a good evening food was nice but maybe its the fact that we had opted for the star deal that the staff felt outdone of a big tip.
The service was extremely slow, our main course took more then half an hour to come out and the excuse was that they had a party. The tuna ceviche is absolutely disgusting, not a ceviche at all, I recommend the chef to go to a Peruvian restaurant and try one. The steak had a lot of nerves running though it and was over cooked. My friends mini hamburgers were nice. The atmosphere was really good.
Great celebrative environment. It is a club, and a restaurant and a bar and a fun place to visit with beautiful decor. There was a delay with two of the guests for my table and the lady at the front made it quite difficult for us, saying that she would only wait 10 minutes and after that she would have to give up our table for other people that were waiting for a table. It was a birthday celebration, there were only two people out of 6 who were late about 10 minutes, and she couldn't even advance the group to the table I had reserved because the full group had to be present. Had they not arrived within that time, we would be left to have to find another restaurant, with a more than likely added fee to it. I was not happy about that at all, especially when it was a surprise birthday dinner. Nevertheless, the rest of the night was great, service, food and drinks were brilliant. Thanks
