STK - London Ratings and Reviews
Food was 5*
Service has the potential to be 5* but claimed to be 'late night dining' we arrived at 11.00 and was told we had 2 hours, by 12 o clock we were being rushed for last orders cus bar was closing.
Spoke to the manager and he was super helpful. Will be coming again but should be clearer with the late night post theatre policy.
The food was amazing - the steak was the best I've tasted! Got the Cannonball offer - bottle of red, 950g steak, creamed spinach, parmesan truffle chips and king prawns for £90. Was a bit pricey but there was plenty of food all cooked to perfection. Amazing atmosphere - very trend, service was super efficient! Definitely recommend. :-)
First time trying this place and it will be my last. If you are planning to have a conversation over dinner then you have no chance here. The music from the DJ was both disastrous and too loud that I found myself shouting to get a word in - you will need to learn how to point to the things you want on the menu since nothing can be heard verbally. The food itself? So bad! Didnt finish the greasy/oily overpriced food and told the waiters but they didnt seem to care much as they rolled they eyes. I guess dinner at a night club is not for me...
I've been to STK twice and on both occasions I seem to get treated differently by the front house staff, in comparison to non-black customers. I seem not to have a reservation even though I have a confirmation e-mail. If it was just one occasion then possibly a misunderstanding, but two occasions is starting to seem like a pattern. Especially when all the other customers coming through are greeted with a smile and taken to their table with no qualms. After going back and forth they do apologise and eventually find the booking. But if there is an issue with blacks visiting then please advertise this. A few of my friends seem to have the same issue.
Apart from that, the bar staff and waiters are exceptionally friendly. The food is mediocre and drinks are standard.
I doubt I'll visit again - not keen to go somewhere I'm not wanted.
Dated concept, but very good steak. Cocktails need to be updated, as well.
It just needs a 'refresh' to a modern standard. We were served old bread, but it was quickly fixed.
Waiter told us 'service charge' is NOT a tip. That's not good for customers, especially visitors who could be very confused about if they should tip on top of the service charge or not. Need to sort that. Leaves a bad experience.
Beautiful interior. Music wasn't too loud nor too quiet - perfect balance. I visited for my birthday meal and they even gave me a complimentary cake - a lovely touch. Very welcoming. Only issue was service was slightly slow at times e.g. when asking for the bill we had to wait for 20 minutes. Apart from that, lovely food. Slightly on the expensive side but the food was worth it. Perfect for special occasions. Would definitely visit again.
After reading so many reviews and having a friend recommend STK, I was so excited to celebrate my birthday there. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, that I won't fault. However, the overall experience is definitely overhyped. Service was alright, but it was evident there were severely understaffed as only one or two people were serving. My friend also bought me a champagne class with diamond crystals and '21' written on it, which in a rush to tidy the table was taken away. When I tried to call the restaurant, the receptionist said she can't do anything as it's not 'a lost shoe, or card or something'. That was little disappointing... But looking around at the other guests who were at the restaurant, I would recommend this for more chill, easy night or for friendly occasions rather than a birthday or special occasions as they don't seem to offer anything celebratory.
We went for the set menu and it was delicious. Not sure about the feta starter as there wasnt too much feta although it was interesting with the watermelon. The bavete steak was delicious and the deserts were HUGE and good. the service was really friendly although they did forget our desserts which wasnt ideal and they didnt offer to adjust the bill for the inconvenience. Not perfect but the price was good.
I came for my husbands birthday for the first time on Saturday and we had a lovely lovely night! From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is great very vibrant and the dj was playing bangers all night, we wanted to get up and dance! The staff were all really lovely, but our waitress Tunde was fabulous! She was really attentive and friendly and went out of her way to help. The food was great, we were expecting tiny portions but we were pleasantly surprised when they were quite huge! Great night and I will be coming back for my birthday!
The service was absolutely amazing - the girl who served us was so attentive, kind and friendly. We didn't need help with the menu but had we needed it, I'm sure she would have assisted. She was great at keeping drinks filled and brought out a birthday surprise for my mum, which we all appreciated. I wish I had gotten her name - we visited on Thursday 22nd June and sat in the middle of the restaurant.
Had a really good waitress who looked after us throughout, however it was not made clear at the start that there was an extra charge on the steak on top of the offer I had booked. They also got my offer booking wrong at the start but was sorted out quickly. I ordered a medium to well done steak but received a medium rare which was slightly difficult to eat but the rest of the meal was great.
The resteraunt is pretty loud and fun however we were all dressed but unfortunately the crowd is far from classy or have any manners. We were seated next to what appeared to be two hookers and their pump. One kept clapping and banging the table. Guy kept kissing the girls and slapping their arses. I eat at pretty nice places but me and my friends were astonished at the crowd here. The food was okay nothing special and the drinks were lovely.
