Great food! Went for lunch on a Tuesday and there were no crowds. The food was tasty and satisfying. Orders were easily adapted to individual needs. Food took a long time to come out, but worth the wait. Waiter delivered lemon slice for water in his bare hand and dropped it in the glass (!!!???). Otherwise, great place to eat. More of a casual dining experience than an sophisticated environment.
There was only one other group of diners on the patio but they were very LOUD
Nice neighborhood bar and grill. I had the Cobb salad and the sirloin steak with red pepper grits. The salad and steak were both good and the grits were really good. Overall a nice bar and grill that does a good job.
We absolutely love coming to Stone’s Cove. The food and service are always amazing. We brought our friends here to celebrate a birthday. Our favorite drink is the Dirty Deed! We love the flat breads as an appetizer. The cod is my favorite dish and you can’t go wrong with the carrot cake or key lime cones. If you have the opportunity, also try brunch here. You won’t be disappointed!!
Nice casual place with a menu that is different than most places of similar price range, which is most attractive part of going to this restaurant. Something different.
Awesome!
Great get together!
Great food and service!
Stone's Cove had been one of our favorite places to eat for years but our last two visits have been disappointing. I wrote off the visit a couple of months ago but this past visit was a repeat performance. Servers are not attentive. They delivered our appetizer and rushed off leaving me to call after the server in order to place an entree order. They deliver the food and then disappear so no chance to order a second drink or get water refilled. 20 minutes from ordering to get appetizer and another 20 minutes to get entree. It was busy when we arrived, but 1/2 the folks left by the time we were finished and still servers did not come by. Finally, after eating the Shrimp and Grits there many times, this was the first time it was disappointing. Too salty and just not as good as in the past. My burger was fine - first time ordering that there. Would still recommend but perhaps after Pandemic is over.
Impossible Burger is fantastic a must try!
Awesome service. Table setup gives you a bar feeling in these COVID times. Food is simple but good. Great everyday spot or low key date night.
Great food and great service. We get a Flatbread every time. The Mackinac Flatbread is our fave. Also love the cobb salad with shrimp.
Due to COVID, the seating was very limited so it wasn’t the usual experience, but the food is always so delicious.
We're regulars here and absolutely love the place. Staff is awesome and very friendly. Menu is varied and excellent across the board. Flatbreads and wings are a favorite. Many excellent entrees as well. The french dip and seared sirloin are great. It's shared service by the staff so don't be shy about catching the attention of whoever comes by if you need something. If you wait for your original server, you may be disappointed with the service because they are all over the place making drinks, cooking and serving.
It was a little cold inside but other than that, had a great experience!
Long time customer and Stone Cove is one of our favorite restaurants. Because of Covid much less crowded on a Sat night. Well spaced out seating at standard seating. We felt safe. Drink order took longer than expected to arrive. Crab Dip tasted like pure cheese and was not good so we sent it back. Entrees were terrific and bigger portions than in the past we think. Service not as attentive as in the past but perfectly pleasant when when he did come by. Waiter took a second drink off the tab due to crab dip (which they also did not charge for). Will return for sure!
My family and I had an amazing brunch today! The Bloody Mary’s were awesome, as was our meal. Stone’s Cove never fails to give us the best dining experience. A big shout out to the staff as well. They are always great!
Fantastic food and service always!
Good food and service. Covered outdoor seating.
The staff was very friendly. I believe the restaurant was inundated with carry out orders and understaffed. It’s probably because of COVID-19. Unfortunately, it took especially long to prepare two simple sandwiches. I can’t say anything about the except that it was average at best. Tough times, I guess.
My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised by this delightful neighborhood restaurant. I have driven by many times. The outside dining area was very clean and it was covered. Nice touch to have individually wrapped hand wides already on the table. Everything that we we ordered was delicious and prepared with very fresh ingredients. The chef came out to check on us too. We will come back. It is a perfect place for the distanced out door meal. They even have heaters. Yay!
SLOW & POOR service. I had a reservation for 8pm, no one greeted us at the door had to hunt down hostess. We were eventually seated around 8:15. 20 min wait between myself & my guest receiving their dinner. So in order for their meal meal jot to get cold they had to eat alone while I waited for my meal for 20 min. Which is baffling as I only ordered chicken salad sandwich. Stopped an employee(young lady) to ask if she can check on why my meal was taking so long. She told me she could not check & to just stop my server when they walk by next. I was completely shocked by her response. When I did ask my sever he explained it’s been extremely busy but that they were working on it. Open kitchen concept-I saw him walk up to a cook them the cook began making my food. Chicken salad is pre-prepped all he had to do was toast bread add lettuce & chicken salad. Litwrally took him a few min to make. So I’m almost certain the server either forgot to put in my order or the cook forgot to make it. When I did get my food it was good, but prepared a bit sloppy as I could tell it was rushed. my food it was good, but prepared a bit sloppy as I could tell it was rushed.
Thank you for your feedback. Making our guests feel welcome and well cared for is our highest priority and I am sorry that you did not experience the level of service and attention that our guests have come to expect. I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to our staff so we can work to provide a better overall experience.
Each dish was good but kind of small-ish. Tapas is a good word. Shrimp and grits were great. Almost had the S’mores pizza but the chef brought it out and said that it has peanut butter (no mention on menu and I’m allergic) so he took it back and took it off the bill. If you’re into that, the wait staff said it was really good, but can’t review it.
Food always great. Service is the key to success keep an eye on it guys.
Great food, but inadequate ventilation over the cooking surfaces made the entire place smell like burnt oil. When I left, my clothes smelled really bad.
This is our go to lunch spot. Unfortunately, this day, lunch took way too long. 1st time this has ever happened! The staff seemed kinda disorganized but we all have off days. This will not stop me from going back as I love this place!
The food was great and even though it was a busy night, we never felt rushed.
Ordered Cobb salad with poppyseed dressing on the side--highly recommend! Lunching with friend from years ago. Stone's Cove allowed us stay and stay. Occasionally checked to see if we still needed anything more. Very accommodating to 2 old friends that just wanted to sit and visit.
Excellent, friendly service and the food is delicious!
Great food, great beer (cold cold!) And server was very efficient and friendly. Excellent experience!
The staff was awesome and the specials from 2-6 daily were the best - had blue cheese burger sliders and there were more menu options of interest than I normally encounter. The shrimp and grits were good and the selections were NOT an abundance of typical fried bar food choices (pleasantly surprised)
Love this place
As always, dinner at Stone’s Cove was awesome! We had the mushroom flatbread and the salmon entree. Both were so good. Plus it was $2 off Dirty Deeds, so definitely an added bonus.
Always great service and awesome food!
The food is always outstanding and just as good this visit. The service this trip was also outstanding for once. We have been going here for years and always enjoyable if the service is good. The service is sometimes inconsistent or just bad. Glad to have had a great night out at Stone’s Cove. Please keep hiring good people and training them well and you customers will keep coming back and tipping well!
I've been coming to Stone's Cove almost since it opened. I loved the concept, loved the food - and the employees really seemed to be having a good time there.
I just dined there Saturday, with a group of four other friends. No one was impressed. In all honesty, I haven't been hee in ove a year - but I really didn't know it had gone downhill as much as it has. I was a little embarrassed to have brought my friends here. I'd already told them how great it was, and after the drinks were served (one friend ordered a Woodford's and water, and it was just a really poorly made drink. Basically a shot in a big glass filled with ice and water. I was drinking wine, which was just OK, but they don't have the decent wines they used to have.), the staff kind of just managed to wander away and avoid our whole end of the bar for a long time. Between the five us we had - 2 peperoni flatbreads, an Ahi Tuna, Crab bisque and fish tacos. Everyone said their dish was ok, but not great. Except for the guy with the Ahi Tuna. He inhaled it, so I don't know if he even tasted it.
Just wanted to let you guys know, I think the place has gone downhill from what it was a few years ago.
We had a new server so we had to explain some things to him a few times (e.g., drink requests) but he was very nice. The food was very good!
This place has side of different to it but with a twist. A huge surrounding bar area with several chefs inside that are there to take/prep your meals and beverages. I will say it looks overwhelmingly busy for them so it is hard to know which chef is serving you. No matter who I gave eye contact to to try and capture someone's attention, it seems like every cook was on a mission. But then again, that's just me be a first timer.
I love Stone's Cove Kit Bar and have only one complaint - they need more low tops. I appreciate that the raised bar overlooking the kitchen is sort of the point, but I wish there were more low tops for those who are just not comfortable or even challenged by high tops. Recently they changed the reservation site so you are able to request a low top, which I sincerely appreciated. However, I requested one with this last reservation and was seated at the bar regardless.
Never having been to a Kitbar, I was surprised at the quality of the food and the presentation. Service was very good as well. I would come back. The menu wasn’t huge but I felt that meant what was prepared was done well and it was fresh.
Our server was relatively new - Brandon. He was very nice, helpful, and patient with our toddler. The food was great and we will definitely go back.
