Taco Taco Ratings and Reviews
Booked for 6 people, changed to 8 people, turned up with 7...none of which was an issue. Althpugh we were a group we got to order from the regular menu as opposed to the set menu which was a nice surprise. We all had a different starter & main and everyone polished theirs off. Jugs of Margarita's & jugs of Mojitos....a great way to save a few bob. We had great fun with plenty of chat. We even popped back for some hip hop later that night!
We went on a Saturday, in evening. The staff were quick to tell us that they needed the table back after hour and a half. Not a problem but a bit odd as the place looked only half full. Starters and Mains arrived quickly and were very good, as was cocktails. After that, we were pretty much forgotten about! Staff started moving tables and cleaning up around diners; no one came to check on us, to see if we wanted dessert, coffees etc. Eventually, after about 20 minutes we just got someone's attention, paid the bill and left. Very good food, nice location, but bizarre service! Hopefully a one off
Great night in Taco Taco. We all enjoyed our food & margarita jugs with a shot or two of Patron Silver.
Food is always great. Atmosphere is good. We would have liked to get back to RnB night but unfortunately it was full when we came back - maybe a band system for customers who eat there on the night could allow people to come back? Similar to Hang Dai.
Very helpful and friendly staff. However I found the food to be overpriced for what it was, and fish especially tuna was overcooked.
Also when sitting downstairs there is a strong smell from the bathrooms (which could be much improved) which is very off putting when trying to eat.
I had the duck which was tasty but came with a side of beans that didn't match with the dish and made little sense, my gf who is French Canadian had the poutine, this is not a poutine in any sense, very disappointing, cocktails were excellent but didn't arrive until well into our meal.
Waited an hour for our meal the service was so bad waiters were so rude we ordered beers the waiter went to another table with them we waved to let him know they were ours he then raised his voice to say well when I asked why didn't u say so !!! We were confused as he didn't ask us any thing the whole experience was awful
Good veggie-friendly brunch menu but very noisy - we went for a friends' catch up for brunch and could hardly hear ourselves talk over the thumping music. Wouldn't go back for any meal that was intended to be a catch up opportunity. However service was absolutely super and food was fine - it's just the noise that was incredibly off-putting.
I really liked it here. The food was really good! It is more expensive than most tapas places so would only recommend for special occassions. Orders came quick & service was very good. The portions are filling so I would recommend a starter to share and 1 main course for each person.
This has been my third visit to Taco Taco. The staff are always so lovely here and the food arrived very quickly after ordering, which was great! I had the breakfast for champions, my only criticism would be around the black pudding, I felt it was a big over cooked, but everything else was delicious!
Had a lovely meal there. Service was prompt but not too pushy. Food was good and as described on the menu. The hard surfaces everywhere and loud music made it a little difficult to have a conversation without talking very loudly, which added to the high noise levels.
Love this place usually, the servers are really friendly but the new guy at the front desk was really rude and condescending, spoiled the occasion for me a bit. I got the feeling he was the manager. Would be hesitant to return because of this, but the food was lovely as always.
I had been before with a friend and had a lovely meal so I recommended it for a friends birthday on Saturday night. Service was poor we were at least 40 minutes waiting on our main course plus I didn't get what I had ordered even though I had repeated my order because the waiter had repeated it back to me incorrectly initially. Considering three of us ordered the same main-to him yet all were different when they arrived to the table. I really enjoyed everything about my first visit however Saturday was extremely disappointing.
Maybe I'm getting old or we might have been directly under a speaker but weew the music was louud. Would be great if gearing up for a night out but we were there for Sunday brunch. Most of our food was good but the burrito was a real let down (very dry, like a wrap with basmati rice and little else going on), and the mimosas weren't great either. Homer brunch & French toast were brill though. Overall pretty good but I wouldn't be rushing back.
