All was great. Have been many times. Would not recommend the lobster mac and cheese. It was dry and low on the lobster side for sure!
The restaurant was so hot, that it was hard to enjoy our meals.
As always the experience at the Tavern was excellent. Service, food and atmosphere rate where you’d expect at an iconic New York City restaurant established over 80 years ago.
Was visiting NY from the Uk and came across the Tavern on the Green... it was a lovely atmosphere and offered something different to the usual NY bar/ pub venues
Our second time in as many years, its a perfect quiet spot in the park to have a fancy lunch you'll remember
BDay brunch with 11 friends. Excellent food, service and experience. Impressed and will go again soon!
Our server was charming! She was so polite, engaging in conservation, kept us abreast of the timing for our food and was outstanding! The food was wonderfully delicious and presented beautifully. My first time but will be on my docket everytime I come to NYC. Thank you! Lyn
Beautiful, delicious, stunning and every other thing would expect from NYC institution.
This is the worst brunch I have ever had . I ordered eggs Benedict with Lobster ( btw $30) it came back the eggs were so runny sent it back and they came back the same way . The third time they were hard boiled . Another person in our party ordered a burger medium well and it came out rare.
They were pleasant about it but get it right . Three strikes you are out .
A huge disappointment that’s all I can say .
We flew to NYC for a long weekend and decided to have brunch to try the famous Tavern on the Green. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The restaurant is beautiful and everything we ordered was delicious. Our waitress Emily was so friendly and we went with her advice on what to order and none of us were disappointed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NYC. Can’t beat the location in Central Park.
Eat here every time I am in NYC. Just love the atmosphere and staff is so wonderful
We were instantly greeted with smiles and felt welcomed. The young lady who checked my bag was so friendly as was the gentleman who led my daughter and me to the table in the atrium after a brief wait. The view of the park dusted with snow was like a dream. I enjoyed the avocado egg muffin and the French toast, and our water glasses were kept full. The bathroom was clean and the gift shop was cute. I hope to return someday.
great food and location
iconic restaurant did not disappoint
Beautiful, traditional Sunday Brunch.
The food and the service was amazing. The view was great. My only complaint was the temperature. It was so hot in the room. We almost didn’t enjoy the food because it was waaaay too hot.
Great service and made the night for my girlfriend
We made reservations to be seated in the bar. We were seated in the main dining area. Because of some medical reasons, we opted for the bar because of the bar menu posted on line. We were told that the menu was only for the casual first-come, first-seated& served sofa area and that diners in the bar were to order from the dining room menu. It was a crowded Saturday night, so we didn’t make a huge fuss. We found acceptable appetizers on the dining menu and a couple of vegetable side dishes. The food was good and the waiter was lovely —- it just was not the meal we had planned for and anticipated.
Great venue, highly recommended. Food and Service were great.
I had always wanted to go to Tavern On the Green when I lived in NYC, but couldn’t afford it. I decided that it was time and took my wife there for our anniversary. The entire staff was awesome. They really made it a special evening for us. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was terrific. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
Best food in NYC!
Fabulous dinner prior to NYPhil performance. Service, menu and meal all outstanding. Short walk to and from Lincoln Center.
This has the potential to be a wonderful hidden gem. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation nearly a month in advance for a more intimate barroom table, we were made to wait before being shown by an impolite host to the more traditional dining room. We explained our reservation was for the bar and we would prefer that seating, but were told we were being given an “upgrade.” Reluctantly (and without an alternative), we agreed to sit in the dining room after being assured we could still order from the bar menu. Our server, however, promptly informed us we could not order from the bar menu and that we would need to leave the dining room. After again explaining the restaurant’s error, we were shown to a bar table (in the back area for casual dining, not the lovely reserved tables for drinks/appetizers). Once more, our server expressed confusion at this arrangement but agreed to serve us from the bar menu (she was the sole bright spot and should be applauded for salvaging what was left of our experience). Food and drinks were otherwise mediocre. Sadly, this was a stop on my wife’s birthday, but after the experience we have no plans to return.
What a great meal and night!!!!! Well Done!!!
Very nice restaurant..I live in California came out for the weekend to see a show and was told to come to have dinner at you restaurant glad I did. Food, service was outstanding... J
The prices reflect the tourist-y atmosphere, the music in the dining area was kinda 80’s 90’s rock and too loud, just more noise, yet the music in the bathroom was appropriate, Sinatra & Buble. Would not go again because of the price and noise. Too many fine choices in the area to truly rave about then to waste time calories and money on this place again!
I have always heard of this establishment and when my family was visiting the city about 10 years ago, it was closed for renovation. We made a return trip this weekend to view some shows. Knowing we were in the vicinity, we made reservations. We were not disappointed. Special meal with surroundings and it even snowed prior to and during our meal. The experience lived up to the expectations. We will plan to make it tradition. Thank you.
Beautiful scene, excellent service, and great food! Went for brunch and drinks. Staten Island drink was phenomenal!!! Just note to make your reservation weeks/months in advance for the restaurant side!
The food was ok. Over priced for what you get. The waitress was fabulous.
We chose TOG for breakfast during a special trip to the city, and it was the best breakfast we’ve ever had! Beautiful setting, great service, and delicious food. This is a must do!
Iconic Restaurant that never disappoints. Food and Service were spectacular... Tavern needs to be on your list of places to go if your in NYC.
Our Server, Zach was the Best!
It was great. Service was excellent
Girls weekend -great view of the park
Food was ok but you really go for the experience which was top notch.
Were in from LA and wanted to revisit an old favorite. Haven’t been since the remodel and we have to say - it was beautiful! The restaurant space is amazing, our server was excellent and the food was exquisite. Will definitely make sure to make this a staple of future nyc visits! Thank you!
Wait staff were not very attentive.
Rolls came out rock hard. Waiter did not asked how I’d like salmon cooked. Others did like their meal, but it was unfortunate because the group is in the hospitality business.
Very limited vegetarian options; main meal of charred vegetables doesn't justify the $24 price tag, especially as it was very bland. Only other option was salad!
