Wonderful as always. The food and service are top notch.
Perfect. Food and service wonderful
So enjoyed, food excellent, server's suggestions 5 stars.
Delicious upscale menu, beautiful presentation and attentive staff.
Highest quality preparation and presentation. This restaurant offers creative and thoughtful cuisine delivered with impeccable service. Among the best dining experience in Florida.
Josh and Linda were AWESOME
We booked a reservation for 3 at 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. We were seated promptly. Seating was comfortable. Service was prompt and intuitive. Food was excellent. The escargot appetizer was very good though my husband would have liked a bit more garlic -- he opted for the grouper entree which he said was delicious. Judging by his cleaned plate, he didn't exaggerate. My sister and I both enjoyed the turkey dinner which was memorable. The turkey was moist and delicious. It was accompanied by all the usual sides which were lovely. Not really much to improve on here ... though the restaurant decor does seem a bit tired and in need of an uplift.
This is a class A resturant. I wish the acoutic was better but there may be nothing that can be done to improve this.
Our meal experience was perfect. Dean was an excellent server and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was exceptional as always.
My friend and I consistently dine at the Perfect Caper before attending the symphony. The food and service are consistently excellent. Since I was last there the dining area has been remodeled so that social distancing is discrete and without question. This is an excellent restaurant.
We found this place randomly on OpenTable for a quick meal before the Punta Gorda Jazz Festival, and it vastly exceeded our expectations. Great server with a fantastic wine recommendation, inventive food exploding with flavor, professional services standards but not stuffy. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but another world once you’re indoors. We will be back next time we visit PG!
The food and service was excellent. We had the shrimp appetizer. I had the sausage pasta and my husband had the tuna. Both were delicious. Can’t wait to try something else.
The food was excellent and our waitress was terrific
Great food and ambiance. My husband went here for a date night and will definitely be returning.
Simply the best restaurant in southwest Florida! Perfect Caper is, as always, perfect!
Maybe the Perfect Caper is suffering the same labor shortages and higher prices as elsewhere. We and our guests thought the food was very good. However, we were seated about 1/2 hour after our 7:30 reservation, and it took almost an hour for our food to be served after we were seated. To their credit, they comped our glasses of wine. Let’s hope they catch up soon.
Everything was the best.a most enjoyable experience from top to bottom I'd recommend it to anyone.keep up the good work.
Great job!!!! Food was great. Service impeccable! Thank you for a wonderful evening.
The food and the service are both excellent. It is a little pricey.
We haven't been to The Perfect Caper since it closed during the pandemic but the reopening definietly didn't disappoint! A few new options were added to the menu (a plus for vegetarian/vegan guests) and the service was exactly what you'd expect from a first class dinning venue. The duck was cooked to perfection and the miss loved her multi layer chocolate cake.
Every bite, delicious and enough . Had crispy shrimp and crab cake, crab cake was full if just crab meat, no fillers, breadcrumbs on top, the sauces they use also amazing. Not a place you can eat at everynight, little pricey but when you get good food and service, worth every penny.
We hadn't been to the Perfect Caper for several years as we believed that the food was inconsistent. But our niece and husband just moved to Punta Gorda and we wanted to treat them to a special meal. The experience was just OK. Service was spectacular. They asked if we wanted bread and I asked if it was the yummy rosemary focaccia and the server said they were out of it. So we received 5 small slices of a bread. Later realized that we were charged $5 for the bread. For appetizers, we got the calamari and red curry mussels. Both were tasty but since we had already eaten the bread before it came, we had nothing to mop up the yummy curry sauce. I got the miso salmon for an entree. It was just OK. Small portion of salmon and the dish was just a bland, tan dish. I lime wedge or spicy aioli on the side would have made a ton of difference. My husband got the shrimp and grits and he said it was just OK. Overall we thought it was overpriced given the quality.
The food and service was excellent as always
My favorite restaurant in the area.
Dinner for three - midweek. By far one of the best meals I’ve had in years. For context, I travel and entertain for business across NA. I cannot express how impressive the meal was - chef could rival and win in any major market - SF, Chicago, LA, NYC. Well done.
Our meal - goat cheese, French bread, calamari, main: crabby scallops, filet, and tempura shrimp. Cappuccino and chocolate bread pudding. Wow!
Great meal as always
We went there for a birthday dinner and weren’t let down. Clean and romantic decor. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. He gave us awesome recommendations for appetizers, main entree and dessert. Overall it was a great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again.
Had a date night with my husband would like to try new restaurants. We both had two drinks. For an appetizer we had bread which was bread with baked cheese it was OK, I got the special half of roasted chicken it came with a warm mushroom salad and french fries, my husband got pasta with sausage and red sauce. His was good mine was just OK. Would not go again for the price. With tip $160 Very overpriced. I will say the service was very good.
It’s a long drive from Fort Myers but we’ll be back, it’s worth it!
This great restaurant just keeps on delivering. From the salad/appetizer to the main courses, everything was excellent. We will soon be moving from this area and will miss Perfect Caper.
The best food in Punta Gorda and miles around. Ir never fails to please.
We love the Perfect Caper, or at least we did. This is the second anniversary date we have had there, and have been disappointed both times. We used to spend at least a day a month at the Caper, sitting at the bar, ordering what looked good. Last night we decided to order the New York Strip with pommes frites. the steak was very tough, though cooked perfectly, and under-seasoned. The frites were delightful. The appetizer, A Warm Goat, was delicious, but we both ended up with gastrointestinal problems when we got home. We were surprised when our food was served by Chef-Owner, Jeanie Rowland, which was delightful. However, we have been used to great food at the Caper, and now have experienced two episodes of underwhelming food. We are tough critics - we cook well at home. A NY strip steak in our kitchen, even if Choice and not Prime, is not tough - granted, some are more tender than others. Sadly, we are unlikely to return.
Fantastic food and fantastic service. Appetizers the Pate plate was the best I think I have had in a long time as were the shrimp. The steaks were cooked to order and perfect. My son had the crabcake and raved about the flavors. Drinks were pricy so next time 1 will do nicely. All in all the Perfect Caper is the Perfect restaurant. I have been going here for years and never disappoints.
Food excellent, Gab's service out standing as usual.
Everything from the appetizers right down to dessert, was really great for it party of 5. Wait staff was excellent. Never felt rushed. Made a really nice evening out.
My go to restaurant for special occasions. The food is great and never disappoints.
Always good food and service at the Perfect Caper
Great service once we got seated. Hostess apologized for the wait, we had a reservation….
Excellent salad, fresh fish, and dessert for me; filet and a different salad for my guest. We ate every bite. Generous cocktails and thoughtful wine selection. Really a lovely place for dinner. I’d return anytime.
