The Saddle Room has been awarded 'Best Hotel Restaurant in Dublin 2017' at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Named after The Shelbourne’s historic dining rooms, The Saddle Room Restaurant is an old favourite reinvented as a Dublin steakhouse and seafood restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Open Kitchen, the interaction from The Oyster Bar, the tantalizing taste of great food and the smooth touch of leather banquettes. A casual but sophisticated design, modern menu and savvy service create an atmosphere that is comfortable, cozy, fun and appeals to everyone.
Offering a contemporary menu created by our executive head chef Garry Hughes, using only the finest Irish ingredients.
We are also the ideal place for an Exclusive Private Dining Venue Dublin. The Saddle Room Restaurant has two private dining rooms, available for private hire for lunch or dinner, both with their own unique style and decor making both the perfect place to celebrate any occasion.

Had a lovely lunch. Asked if we want to finish wine after all dishes were removed, should have topped up while food still on table.

Menu was limited. Too many attempts at trying to offer ‘different dishes’. Sweetbreads or ox cheek doesn’t do it for me. Having said that , the scallops were superb and the
Chateaubriand perfect.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner, the food was exceptional, well cooked and presented. Some of the dishes are expensive, but you get what you pay for. The ambience of the Saddle Room is quiet and very comfortable.
We had a drink in the bar before hand which again was very comfortable but full and very noisy.

We were sorry to see that the dress code was not adhered to. It was a shame to see tee shirt, jeans and jumpers on some gentlemen. This is a venue worth getting dressed up for.

Overall, an excellent experience

We treated friends to a birthday lunch and we all loved it. The food was delicious and there were plenty of vegetables. Our waiter was delightful a huge smile and happy disposition, he added to sense of relaxation and comfort. We felt the meal was leisurely no sense of hurry. We really enjoyed it and will come again and will recommend it to friends. Sincerely Marie Fitzgerald

The food was fab presented beautifully. We got the set lunch menu which had a reasonable amount of options. It was a bit pricey but considering the hotel and location it was worth it. Nice for a treat every once in a while.

Simply superb
Wanted somewhere special to celebrate out wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed.
From the moment we arrived the staff ensured that our evening was special, seating us in a romantic booth, wishing us a happy anniversary and continuing to be attentive all night.
The food ..... what can I say ...... why has this restaurant not been Michelin starred? The freshest oysters, beautifully cooked scallops and the most delicious Chateaubriand, seasoned and cooked to perfection then carved at the table and a wonderful selection of deserts. The wine list was extensive and there is definitely something to suit every palate.
We had a wonderful experience that night and I just want to thank everybody for making our anniversary celebration so perfect.

Booked a table for two for my boyfriends birthday and we both absolutely loved it, the food was delicious and the staff were very tentative, in a way that wasn’t too much. As an added bonus, I notified the restaurant about the birthday and they brought out a trio of desserts with Happy Birthday beautifully written in chocolate too. I would definitely recommend as somewhere special, we will be back again soon.

I had an amazing birthday dinner at the Saddle Room. It was my birthday and being pregnant my dessert choices are limited. But the staff surprised me with a very pregnancy-friendly dessert at the end of the meal, in the quiet manner that I like. The food was wonderful, the service marvelous, the atmosphere timeless and classic, and the staff professional to perfection. I cannot praise The Saddle Room enough. I am going to be having many more meals there on later visits to Dublin.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and excellent service...yes, the food was very very good. The only constructive criticisms I would make are....the menu was limited...3 items and a 'veggie' !.....then , with 2 courses at 30 euro, one would expect to have 'sides' included...but 'no'.....thought this a little mean and not in keeping with an 'included' lunch.
Whilst enjoyable, these matters need attention before we think of returning.

I had lunch here a few months back and it was absolutely amazing, I am vegan and it's hard to get such delicious good quality food so I thought this would be the perfect venue to take my sister for her birthday as a special treat.
I was really disappointed with the dinner. I ordered the pickled vegetable salad for starters which I was really excited about as I had it for lunch before... however.. the dinner version was absolutely miniscule.
For my mains I ordered something along the lines of rosti onion with seasonal veg and an almond crumb... there were 4 tiny roast onions on the plate, some beetroot puree and about 5 tiny carrots in the middle of the plate... no sign of any almond crumb.. I was starving..
To add insult to injury the waitress then informed me that the only vegan desert options were fruit salad or sorbee... at this point I was absolutely starving so ended up ordering a non vegan desert as I dread to think what the fruit salad was going to be!
