Great food... really small tables!
Tuna tartare and tiger shrimp dumplings were so good!!
Excellent service and fabulous food. One of our favorite restaurants
Always amazing!! One of our favorite DC spots! Food amazing, service amazing! Thanks Jorge!
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I would recommend The Source to anyone that wants a great dining experience.
A return visit, and a nice space as always (although I miss sitting upstairs for lunch). My biggest lament about the restaurant is seeing the exact same menu for eons, meaning I have now had the same salad about 8 times in a row cause of lack of other appealing choices.
Really inventive fusion menu and beautifully presented food.
Jorge is the best waiter ever! Will be back as soon as I can.
Quiet place. Good service. Interesting Asian fusion food.
Host was short with customers, expressed frustration with request of bigger table, felt unwelcome, was a business dinner with executive present - exec showed concern after seeing reservee being spoken in argumentative manner from the host.
Food was well prepared. The lunch menu was great. It was quiet enough for a business lunch.
Everything was very good, food, service, atmosphere.
Chirashi Bowl - OMG. So good! The service and food are spectacular. Highly recommended.
Food was good and hot. Would have been nice if the sous chef was there as some signature deserts were not available.
The service was exceptional from the moment we walked through the doors. The tastin menu was delightful and they were easily able to make the necessary modifications for my gluten free diet (Celiac). Highly recommend The Source, especially for special occasions.
Great food and service just wish they had chicken on the menue
Great for business meetings or impressing a new client!
Great Great Great food, great ambiance and set up!
As always, The Source is a wonderful location with amazing food. My go-to for a business lunch or a long lunch on a Friday.
Really great experience. We went for Restaurant Week, but must go back again next week.
My sister and I wanted a break from our typical work week and I wanted to try out The Source for Restaurant Week. Very happy that we did! We both liked the food - the salmon in the Salmon Duo was super soft and buttery. The flavors in the soft crab dish were reminiscent of what would be served at a Chinese banquet. The service was fantastic - everything refilled, we were checked on but it wasn’t intrusive. Would recommend to others for a nice dinner date!
LOVED IT! The bartender was nice enough to allow me to taste two of the rosès before selecting one. Service was good, very quick so we never really got a waiter it was more like everyone servicing the tables. Dinner was amazing. Restaurant week menu was vegetarian friendly. I actually finished my entire plate which I almost never do! Would definitely come again!
I went there expecting to find interesting variations on Chinese food. The food was interesting but not as good as I had hoped-- didn't seem worth the cost. The menu did not offer a wide range of options, and there was not much (except dumplings) that I would consider a variation on Chinese food.
The service was friendly and professional.
Six of us went for a Restaurant Week dinner. The food was amazing. The staff was gracious. The service was efficient. a memorable meal!
Loved every single aspect of it! Must go!
We went during restaurant week. The service was excellent and the wine was great. The first course (salmon sashimi and roll) was quite basic. We ordered Impossible dumplings which were interesting because they were vegan and tasted quite similar to meat potstickers - a good replacement for a new vegetarian/vegan. The main course - we had the dan dan noodles and the fried crab - was good and flavorful. The dessert was well executed (carrot cake and sesame brownie sundae), if a bit ordinary. A good experience but not necessarily groundbreaking for the promise of fine dining and the accompanying price.
The food was nothing special, not the flavorful experience I had expected. Was also disappointed they didn’t participate in restaurant week so I could try a variety of offerings.
Duck special. Service friendly and efficient.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely return!
Amazing food. Only reason I have it less than five star is that it wasn’t kid friendly. I only knew what might be available by looking at another table with children.
Juan is an amazing server! Every time I come visit DC, he remembers my preferences, and is very personable!
Overall not bad but wouldn’t rush back. Feels like they are doing you a favor by letting you in the restaurant. Place was understaffed for Saturday Dim Sum and good was good nothing exceptional but good. Portions are small even for Dim Sum and no atmosphere at all
Was in town on a business trip and made reservations at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Great presentation. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely eat there again.
Exceptional service from Jorge and the tasting menu was diverse and wonderful.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in DC. The food is expextacular , innovate and delicious , and the service is the best Highly recommend it
Best meal I have ever had!!!
We did the 7 course tasting meal.
Unbelievably good. A must do!!!
Anton was great, good food, good folks. They have a great special at lunch to include tickets to the Newseum which was an excellent value.
The Source was recommended to me by a friend who called it "one of the best dining experiences in her life." The food was inventive delicious Asian fusion and while my fellow Midwestern diners were a bit cautious about the choices, there wasn't any food left at the end of the meal. The wine list was sufficient to provide some great pairings. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Chef Russell Smith's hospitality make The Source an outstanding dining choice in DC and I look forward to dining there again.
Excellent food and service but very noisy
Amazing food as always! The Source never disappoints. A must if you're in the DC area.
