Our first experience was outstanding. We had great service and we all enjoyed our meals. We look forward to returning to this restaurant!
We went for a girls brunch / celebration on a few things it was a great time but we felt it was a little to loud to talk. We sat outside in the hallway which we were glad because it was so loud inside we wouldn’t have been able to talk at all but we still had to yell at eachother to talk where we sat. It was still a good time and we enjoyed everything just wish it was a few notches lower! Food was good, I wish I remembered our server because she was great! Owner gave us some yummy tequila shots too!
Outstanding! We were a party of 7. Our server was great and made perfect recommendations. The food and drinks were excellent. Drag Queen Karaoke was tremendously fun!
Food was so-so. Had the pastrami hash and it was extremely salty. Bottomless drinks would require at least 3 to make it worthwhile and they’re extremely weak also. Sat in the atrium because there was live music with a microphone and we couldn’t even hear each other talking. Don’t plan on going back .
Best service in town. The food is amazing!
My husband ordered classic Eggs Benedict and the ham was slivers almost like deli ham. The eggs were not poached but rather like hard boiled eggs on English muffins. My Chicken and Waffles was delicious and a very large portion. Enough for 2 people. The bottomless mimosas are amazing , no skimping on the champagne. It is very loud inside & outside. Service was good. They were understaffed but kept up with the flow pretty well. Our server was very attentive. Overall I would give them another visit.
Delicious as usual, and the whole family enjoyed their food, service by Tim was top notch, and entertaining Drag Queen karaoke!
Went for a brunch while my kiddo was in town from college. Fried pickles were great to start for the kiddo. Had the Martini 🍸 fruit and yogurt with bottomless mimosas. So good. Will definitely be back.
We always come back to see Tim! He is great and such a fun time. We’re all servers and he never fails us.
Enjoyed our meals- sesame salmon, steak frites, sausage sandwich, & appetizers- crab spinach dip and homemade chips. Service was great. We stayed for a improve comedy show and had a fun and unexpected time! First time dining in this area of Fort Myers, definitely will be back to the Standard and to checkout the rest of the places in this area.
Brunch as usual! Owner is great, service is at the bar is always fantastic. Bottomless mimosas (I get mine with cranberry), and I have started getting the yogurt parfait … SOOO good!
So here it is the reality. The service right from the start wasn’t good. We sat outside and waited for approximately 15 minutes before they got a drink order. We were about to just get up and leave there. The drinks came out correct and the bottomless mimosas were perfect. My old fashion was not as lucky. They didn’t have the correct mix ratio and it was more like watered down straight whisky. At least they had good whisky to drink.
The food was another story , it came out hot and looked good. For me it was bland and average at best. The chicken and waffles had almost no flavor. The chicken was cooked well it was just bland.
The waitress was very nice and clearly tried hard to make it work the best she could. I thought she was very nice.
I’m the end stay away from here imo. There are plenty of places to go that have way better food and drinks.
Always delicious! That’s why we come almost weekly! Mimosas and brunch. You can’t go wrong. Plus, drag Queen karaoke. Top picks - 20yo likes the beef tips, I love the steak and eggs, gram loves the waffle of the day!
Everything was on point, food quality, service, and atmosphere.
Excellent place to go for food, fun, and an overall exciting experience...especially when there is karaoke (and from what I understand - drag queen bingo). Cannot go wrong when going to The Standard!!!!
Always a good time at the Standard! Love the downtown location
Bottomless mimosas are a must and always great. Switched it up and had an omelette. Was great as usual. Never disappointed!
I had Saturday brunch with two mates at The Standard and I loved it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was live music, in the form of a professional entertainer and a little karaoke. It was quite a fun atmosphere. The crowd was a mixture of young and hip old which is great to see. The true specialty was the amazing food. I was blown away and they easily accommodated my friend by substituting vegan cheese into their breakfast burrito. I wish I could remember my server's name because he was ever so attentive to my needs for a refill to my $20 bottomless mimosa (great value). Additionally, splitting the check three ways was no worry, which is always awesome. An overall great experience and I will be back.
Went fir drag queen karaoke and bottomless mimosas. We sat at the bar and it was great service and food as always!
Good and service were very average. Live band was good but staff seemed overwhelmed with the restaurant being full
A little on the expensive side, but massive portions. Food was delicious. My Date had the Fish the fish and chips, the 2 filets were the as big as a size 10 shoe! We shared that and took home my Shrimp and Polenta which was delicious! Service was outstanding, multiple servers making sure we were taken care of in a packed house. My only complaint: solo singer guitarist was very talented but beyond loud. Conversation was difficult between the crowded restaurant and the entertainment .
Always great food, brunch is amazing! Steak and eggs is to die for, so are the chicken and waffles.
Phenomenal food , beverages, adult beverages and wait staff. Live music was great for Mother's Day.
We had a great Mother’s Day at the Standard. The food and service was great! Will be back soon.
There was no one to greet us when we walked in. I had to find someone. Our server warned us it was her second day on the job. The bartender was behind the bar near the front of the restaurant and never looked at us or said anything to us or even had eye contact with us. My Mojito tasted like diluted Sprite. My dinner partner's steak and potatoes were lukewarm. We asked for a manager and we were told there was no manager on the premises This was on a Friday night and we had reservations. This was my second and last attempt at The Standard. My first visit there I was with a large group of people and there was an automatic 15% gratuity added to the check which I understand. They also added a 15% gratuity to the $15 tickets that we purchased for the show. Of course they don't tell you this and I suspect most people don't bother to figure it out.
We made a reservation in advance but they tried to sit us in the middle of a large table between people we didn’t know. Very unorganized and unsafe for covid-19 so we walked out. Will not be back.
Great brunch experience as usual! The staff is friendly and playful. Great live music and atmosphere.
There was a really bad singer playing Sunday brunch, and they were blasting it over the speakers. It was insanely loud, and social distancing did not seem to be in effect indoors. We sat outdoors, but still had to endure the lame music over the speakers. Our server was cool as hell and really helpful and friendly. My friend had the French toast, and it was pretty basic but okay. I had the corn muffins, which were decent, and the waiter brought out honey and butter for me, which leveled them up. I had the prime rib omelet or whatever it was. It was decent. The potatoes were better than they looked. The sauce on the side was awesome.
Our server was nice enough. They were out of the two things we wanted to order. The drinks were okay. Don’t think I’d go back. Too many other places to try.
We waited over an hr for our meal and it was not crowded. Sat down at 6:45 and meal arrived at the table 8:10. Tracy the waitress was great and it was not her fault.
Easy to find, no trouble parking on a Sunday afternoon. Very, very noisy during their Sunday brunch time (over at 3:00 pm) Food was fair. We only went there because we had a gift card to this restaurant. We probably will not return.
Always great! Brunch with friends and family, and food was perfect. Mimosas and entertainment were also great.
Overall not the best experience. None of the staff wore masks which was unsettling.
We sat in the back far from the karaoke thankfully but it was still extremely loud for a Saturday at 1130am.
Our waitress brought our drinks and never offered a refill, though we were out long before we received our food. Also, our food took FOREVER.... the waitress seemed irritated with that as well. The food was ok. Not overly impressed especially for the time it took and the price. We asked our waitress to split the check and she just gave it to us in one even though we asked.
Very unimpressed and would not ever come back.
Started with poor masking and distancing procedures. Waited 10-15 minutes for drink service. Waitress did not know how to open or pour wine. 45 minutes later another waitress/ manager told us that our order had been out 36 mins , actually was 45 minutes after we placed food leader to tell us our food would be another 30 minutes (sure). No apologies, no discount, nothing. Will never got back, they lost a good customer. Pathetic attempt as a retail establishment.
The Standard was one of the best restaurants we have been to in a hot minute! The food, service, and musical guest was AMAZING! it was our first girls night out in a while and we were not disappointed! Thank you to all that worked this past Friday! You guys all have to go soon!
Everything was great! Service outstanding!
The staff was not wearing masks, but instead black t-shirt that said on the back F*#ck Politics. My husband and I left because not even the kitchen staff wearing masks. We we're afraid of catching Covid-19.
Went for brunch, band as very loud, English muffins were served cold and you had to butter yourself. Items ordered didn't arrive with order and we had to ask for them. Sausage gravy was flour tasting and the grits were overloaded with cinnamon. Bloody Mary was weak and tasted like they use Clamato. Very unimpressed, especially after seeing it rated so highly.
The service and food were fantastic, but extremely disappointed that no one including staff was wearing a mask. I know the staff had previously worn them and was shocked at this. Made us very uneasy in a packed restaurant. Will not go back anytime soon.
No one was wearing masks especially the waiters/waitresses and even kitchen staff. Not a single person was distanced from one another.
