The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel features a sunlit outdoor dining experience with stylish furnishings, and an elegant new bar area. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.

We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.

Shorts, baseball caps, sweats, sandals, tank tops, phone calls, computers and photos are not permitted.

Everything, from the communication leading up to our visit, to the elegant service, delicious food (even with an electrical problem in the kitchen causing a limited selection - so well handled we hardly noticed!), to the buzzing ambience, to the superb setting and decor - all came together in a perfectly beautiful evening. We will be back very soon and look forward to it!!!

10 out of 10! A must do - well worth the price and the perfect L.A experience. The hostess, Barbara, was friendly and welcoming from the first greeting and gave us our choice of table on the terrace. The ambience, views, and decor are perfection. The food was excellent; we had the shrimp cocktail, Tower Burger, and Lobster Tacos - all three were delicious. Tony, our waiter, was the best; friendly, personable, and professional. He really looked after us, we stayed longer than we normally would at lunch because we felt so relaxed.

Been here many times. Loved the combo of live music and food/drink options. But, have NEVER been treated like such crap at any venue ever. Had a reservation. Sat at a table. They ignored our table request. Then when they heard that we only wanted dessert and drinks, they forced us to leave: and then barked at us. Made us return to the lounge: and then barked at us some more for laughing and having fun. Rude! Remind me: why am I paying premium prices for total crap service and champagne that tastes like warm beer?

It was a disappointing experience as we booked a few weeks ahead of our date only to discover that we were seated in their ‘terrace section’ which is secondary, more casual and very load vs their main dining room. Also, their highly recommended ‘chopped salad’ was by far the worse thing we ordered . When complaining to our server he smiled and asked can I get you another drink…WHAT!!!! We enjoyed the live band so didn’t make any more requests for better food and seating, but do not plan to return…If you’re planning to go and expecting the main dining area, call ahead to ensure your table is satisfactory. Tower Bar—over-rated and underwhelming!

great scene, classic old Hollywood meets NYC, its one of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is great, but it is very expensive and at times the main dining room can be very loud.
