This is my second time visiting, this time with some one I love. The owner/ chef, Mr Tetsuya Saotome is not only a excellent and talent chef, but also an artist and a kind and wise man. During the whole experience, I was immersed in the beauty of nature through all sensories - taste, sound, seeing, smell, touch and hearing. They all merged and weaved together in a dynamic and immersive way. The place is so artistically designed, from the willow tree on the wall, the hat shaped chimney, to the hand drawn menu, to the plates, bowls and the tempura themselves. The smell of the frying and the sound when you bite the tempura made me feel like I was in a dream or some kind of heaven. The food is absolutely delicious, as renowned for “God of Tempura”. At the end of the dinner, when I saw Mr Tetsuya drawning a prawn using ink on my menu, thinking of his writing on the menu “ tempura is like wind blowing through willow tree.” I was so moved and almost cry because of the beauty i felt. I was so blessed and so loved to have this wonderful exploration of gastronomy and art. Deep respect and admire to him, a one and only talent, who share his love of nature and art in such gentle and delicious way. Not to mention his professionalism, his wisdom and dedication through his life. Thank you so much, Mr Tetsuya. More

Come to du Barry for French regional cuisine and an array of highly individual wines, mostly organic.
The aim was to create a Tokyo-style “sensibility”.
A place to which unusual and attractive people, people full of vitality, assertive people, people who live in a city in which numerous value systems intersect, come for a fun time. The restaurant is run by owner-sommelier Yasushi Yatabe, who honed his skills at L’ecrin Ginza, and chef Katsuyoshi Yamada, ex-deputy head chef at Restaurant Feu. The restaurant they have created together aims to be a place in which comfort and coziness are more important than high-class French exclusivity or a French style bistro ambience. This is a restaurant for a relaxed, hearty meal.

This is our second time here at Cuore Azzurro. We discovered it on our last trip to Tokyo and it is now a favorite, which we will continue to enjoy during each of our future trips. This year we were presented an English version of the menus (wine/food), which was much appreciated and helpful. We chose a 2014 Bric Merli Nebbiolo d'Alba to enjoy with our food selection, which included: 1) Roasted onion stuffed with chicken liver mousse (this was/is amazing and if you do go you have to have one each - don't share!).; 2) Mushroom mousse wrapped in pastry; 3) ravioli stuffed with rabbit in a browned sage-butter sauce; 4) polenta pasta with veal, chicken and pork. No dessert for us as we were full/content finishing with the pastas. Was nice that the chef divided each of the pasta dishes to enjoy. We will definite be back next year and recommend this small, quaint find in the Meguro area of Tokyo. Be sure to take time to walk the neighborhood, so many shops and restaurants to visit. More
