   Service was terrible and not because there weren't enough servers - I think too many. They were too busy talking to one another to be alert that that had guests. I had to eventually track down the hostess and ask her to find our server. The server mumbled through her poorly fit mask and we barely saw her the entire visit other than taking order, one water refill and the check. Food was delicious as always.

   Love this TFK! Great location, ambiance and service. The starters (tuna tartare tapas, edamame guacamole) and drinks (Cava Prosecco) were excellent. My only quip is that the $32 sea bass entree, which my friend and I both ordered…and were really looking forward to, was a bit over-cooked and salty, but otherwise, all else was superb. Will definitely try TFK again.

   I love dining here… I made the mistake of ordering chicken Parmesian…. It was so dry that I asked for more sauce, hoping it would help It did not…worst meal I have had there Apps were good..everyone was nice My hubby’s meal was not hot. Seemed like our food must’ve been sitting under warmer lights fir a long time We didn’t have to pay for my chicken parm, which was helpful, but it was a disappointing Mother’s Day meal

   Hi Lynn, I am glad you enjoyed your food when you were in recently, sorry that all of the vegetarian options were not explained to you. All of our salads and bowls are meat free so that they are available for people who don't eat meat. Also, we do have a vegan cheeseburger and most of our apps are available as well. If you look on the menu for V (Vegan) or VEG (Vegetarian), that will show you what is available! Thank you for your feedback.

    The bar was not managed, messy and dirty. The table service was slow, had a plate dropped on my foot, empty plates removed without looking at how they were being used (salad). Overall not a good experience. There was not a scarcity of people, was crowded. I imagine the rest. is suffering from a lack of good help.

    Hi Gary, I am sorry that service was slow when you were in on Mother's day. The staff definitely should have asked before taking any plates away from the table. As for the plate being dropped, I apologize for that also. We never want to drop anything here in the restaurant, especially on someone's foot, so that was a mistake.     Had to ask for a waitperson after waiting too long, most tomato slices on the sandwiches had the full stem in them, half of the sweet potato hash was undercooked/half raw, fork was dirty. It was Mothers Day and admittedly busy, but still expected better than that.

    Waitress could not be bothered to refill waters, even when asked, never showed up. Had to request several to go containers multiple times, same goes for a bag to carry them. They've been declining, but this visit was likely our last.

    We enjoyed our experience! Had some food issues with the rice not being cooked at all! (I was afraid to break a tooth!) but our waiter was wonderful and apologetic and fixed it for us. Service was a tad slow, which was fine for us since we were out for a causal dinner without our kids. Overall, would recommend and will visit again.

    They seated us over a half hour behind reservation time and comped a few appetizers as apology. The service felt cold and we were given no special attention, especially given our having to wait for over 30min beyond the reservation time. Also, the food was not consistently warm. The dumplings were chilly and the salad had too much dressing. The salmon dish was delicious, as were the non-alcoholic beverages.

    I have an AIP friend, so TF is a place on our rotation. It’s always hit or miss. However, the wait staff is almost always a hit. Friendly and accommodating. It’s so loud inside that conversations were difficult. The AIP friend branched out from her usual and didn’t love it. I wish there were more “normal” things on the menu for those of us who don’t want to break their teeth on hard grains and enjoy gluten, dairy, and flavor - especially for dessert. I know we will be back because of my friend’s dietary needs, but not necessarily because it’s a place I would otherwise choose.

    True Food Kitchen is my go to restaurant to bring out of town guests. I personally love their vegan pizza with almond ricotta and order that almost every time. Easy parking in the Seaholm Garage.

    Noisy. Why don’t you add sound damping to the walls or ceilings? Food is okay but not especially different from restaurants less than half the price. Parking is a total hassle. After downloading, typing in all your information three times, waiting for spinning wheels to finally finish, they give you one hour of free parking and because you cannot dine in one hour, the remaining time is many times more expensive than other places nearby. I won’t go there again. The parking hassle and the noise ruined the experience.

    Our first experience dining at Tru Kitchen. Food was good. It came out quickly. They seemed short handed as our server was fixing sink in the restroom. Then when I used facility, there was no TP. It was a busy Saturday. Again, food was great. Kale salad was delicious!

    We were not informed when we sat down that we needed to place our order through the code on the table and no one EVER came to take our drink order or bring us water. When the food arrived, one entree was missing. We were told it would be right out, but it never arrived. The spaghetti squash casserole was TINY! We had to go inside to find someone to get the missing entree made. Once this happened a manager did come out with the entree, noticed everyone else was finished- they apologized and took it off our bill and bought us a dessert. The staff seemed to not know table numbers as they brought over food we had not ordered twice while we were waiting on our order. Manager redeemed the night.

    WHAT A FIND! The food is amazing. Ambiance was great. Service impeccable. Wines and cocktails superb. Value for what you get is off the charts-- Dare I say they should charge more. Truly a great dining experience. One suggestion to the owners-- add more pictures of your interior on your website. When we booked we thought we were coming to more of a cafe type place and wondered if there was a wait staff. What we actually found was way above and beyond what we expected from the website. One other suggestion-- open more of these around the country. Fantastic. Wish I lived in Austin to go there again.
