   We enjoyed the food and because of that we will try again. However, our waiter suggested ordering everything at once and allowing the kitchen to space out the arrival of our dim sum items. Shortly, all the dishes were at our table. The dishes barely fit on our table for two. They were delicious for the most part but we felt rushed to enjoy them while they were hot. The only dish that was somewhat disappointing were the soup dumplings. They were not hot. No steam released as we broke into them. We will try again but we will order over time to control the spacing out of our meal ourselves.

   It has been a couple of years since we visited Wu Chow. It was slightly disappointing as it seems the value of this place is not what it used to be. My entree came in a small plate. Feels like the food portions are smaller and the prices are going higher. Waitress seemed distracted as she never brought me soy sauce. We had to get up and get it ourselves.

    We had a wonderful meal with authentic Chinese traditional dumplings with a great fresh twist where they are made to order and everything comes out hot and perfect. Staff was excellent. 100/10

    Wu Chow is one of our go to restaurants walking distance from where we live in downtown Austin. We come at least once a month and it is always consistent!! The food exceptional, the service outstanding and the atmosphere comfortable!!!! highly recommend if you are in the mood for some really good Chinese food!!!!

    Wu Chow never disappoints!!! Get the Fried Chicken appetizer...gluten free fried chicken? Are you serious?!?!?! The Wu Chow Special Fried Rice is my fave.. and the eggplant... and the local mushrooms.... Just go!!!

    Dumplings are a must. Tiki drinks are also a must. Everything we ordered was delicious (Soup and Beef dumplings, Szechuan fried chicken, Singapore Noodles, Honey Pecan Shrimp, and Baby Bok Choy and Mushrooms). This is not your typical Americanized Chinese food nor it is actual Chinese. I would describe it as elevated Americanized Chinese with a farm-to-table mentality. So it more expensive than most Chinese you are going to get. It is worth the occasional splurge. The bar is outstanding and inventive. Excellent and very friendly, knowledgeable service. They work well as a team. Lovely space. I will for sure return if just for the dumplings alone.

    I wanted to date Wu Chow higher. Overall our rating is based on the outstanding service we received. Party of 7 we were seated quickly and were received by friendly helpful staff. The dim sum itself was good but the difference between good and very good was based on three items that were surprisingly stand out and not the ones we expected. Soup dumplings, shumai, and fried dumplings were okay. Nothing very original. The stand out was the crunchy turnip and shiitake cakes, spicy won tons, and salt and pepper shrimp. It might seem a little pricey but if you have dim sum regularly, you’ll know it’s because the food is made of high quality ingredients and fresh not frozen. Maybe more vegetable choices to balance out the dim sum.

    The host was very unfriendly, our service was poor and the seafood friend rice was tasteless. The espresso martini tasted like Bailey’s over ice. We did enjoy our crispy beef.

    Food was excellent but the waiter was terrible. Took forever to get our drinks and thank again to order our food. To refill our drinks we had to ask other waiters to help us out. We have been there several times but the last 2 times the serice has not been good. We go back because of the food.

    Loved the drinks so much!!! Waitress was so helpful, accommodating and pleasant. Only reason ambience was a 3 was because the lighting was so dark, and the print so small which caused us to need our phone lights to read the menu well.

    This has been my GO YO spot for Chinese cuisine over the past several years. Tonight, I had a horrible meal. Everything was over salted! Two of the dishes (one pork & one chicken) tasted exactly the same they had so much salt. I’ll take a few months off and try back.

    We dine here often. When this restaurant first opened the owner introduced himself and was very attentive. The service and food is always good. The last two times we are here my husband received his food while I watched him eat. There are items like the soup dumplings and the crispy sesame beef that take around twenty minutes to prepare. Last night we ordered both of those items. We got the soup dumplings in twenty minutes. My husband got his dish. I got nothing. My husband gave me some of his food. The manager packed mine to go and comped it. That was nice., but it was a disappointment. I’m sharing my experience in case you chose to chance your dining experience in this manner. Had this not happened once before I would not submit this. I won’t be going back.

    Took my daughter to dinner at Wu Chow and it was simply fabulous. I go there all the time and think the world of the food and service, yet this last visit was even better. Fairy dust in the food perhaps! We ordered the green beans, the eggplant, the Cheng Du chili chicken, the honey pecan prawns, and a pork dumpling. Everything was superb and even spicier than normal times high made us all happy. The staff was super attentive and caring. Can’t recommend Wu Chow enough.

    Food, drinks, and service were great. Drinks are a bit pricey but expected for downtown. The most disappointing experience was that the men's restroom does not have a baby changing station and changing my baby was a struggle. It's 2023, should do better.
