Zaragoza Ratings and Reviews
This venue has fantastic food. The food is to a very high standard. We had a spanish lady called Lorenna serve us. She was an absolute professional and gave us a very high standard of customer service. She really was a fantastic staff member. Overall value for money not so great. Main course cost 14.95 for a main course of Scallops. 3 scallops on the plate, which took over 45 minutes to come. The bill at the end was incorrect and the resturant attempted to overcharge us however this was not down to Lorenna as she worked extremely hard. This was a problem from management. I would reccomend this place for tapas but not for a 3 course meal. It was an absolute disgrace what we were charged for the size plates that were served. More staff needed and/or better management and bigger portions. You will still be hungry after a 3 course meal there!
A large bright welcoming decor greeted us as we walked in. Front of house staff were friendly and efficient and we were directed to our seats promptly, although our table did seem to have been an addition to the normal lay out and very tight in terms of staff and customers trying to get past. Went there Saturday night, table booked for 8pm, and it was packed to the rafters.....too busy by far.
We had one lovely waiter and another who had an attitude when we asked for fresh glasses for our wine, as we had changed the second bottle. First bottle of white was absolutely tasteless and the second bottle wasn't much better, so I am not sure whats going on with their wines.
We got our first round of tapas fairly quickly and they were lovely, and then waited almost 90 mins for our second round, so that was not great, as we where hungry and it was coming up to 10pm at that stage. But in fairness, the manager apologized, and offered us complementary dessert, we declined and he then brought us over complementary prosecco....again....completely devoid of taste, but I have to say very much appreciated all the same.
Bottom ,line, this is a lovely restaurant, I would definitely go again, the service was good when we got it, and the food was good, but the wines are terrible and there was not enough staff for such a busy night, so maybe booked a week day not a weekend.
Manager was very rude. He put us at a table under a stairway so if one of us stood up, we could have hit our head. We asked to be moved & they were rude about it. We got put at another table & were told that we had to be finished in less than two hours. Food wasn’t good. Really disapointed because when I went here before, it was good. Won’t be coming back.
Waitress English was poor and mis misunderstood our order so we got a starter portion of chicken wings to share instead of the main course portion to share. She then brought another starter portion. TINY and we were charged for main portion which would have been much larger than the two starters.
The restaurant itself was gorgeous, the food was beautiful, however the service wasnt on the same level at all. Our waitress while polite was annoyed at changing a small portion of our order, we couldn't get her attention for love or money to order another round of drinks, we sat for a good 20 mins with empty glasses, cutlery wasn't present when our mains arrived and again when looking for the bill we had to just grab anyone walking by. apart from that it was gorgeous i'd like to go back on a Thursday night to give the service another go.
We were in Zaragoza on a bank holiday Monday. It was very quiet given we were there early. The food was lovely but the service was lacking. There were nearly as many staff as customers but the service was "cold" and we were forgotten about at least twice. Expensive fir a Monday afternoon- cheapest option for wine was €29. Better Tapas options in Dublin at more reasonable cost. Overall a disappointing visit.
This was my Second visit to Zar agoza but unfortunately probably my last . The service really let them down , our waitress may as well have gone home. We were left with each course for way to long , no drinks and no simple questions if everything was ok even when it was eventually cleared with a lot of food left over.
Food was ok definitely better on my first visit but a bit pricey .
We did let them know as we were paying that we were really disappointed.
Good was good but service poor, maybe because we were a group but had to follow up for drinks, tea etc. Manager did check in while eating but needed more attention on arrival, timeliness of ordering etc. Good experiences previously when in groups of 2 or 3 but very disappointed this time around. Seemed understaffed as hard to get anyone's attention.
It was a lovely evening. We arrived early but our prebooked table was waiting. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food arrived swiftly and was pretty wonderful. The atmosphere was perfect. It was our first visit but won't be our last. Thank u Zaragoza for a great night.
