- MMichaelDorset •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoGreat "Sunday Roast Experience"!! FREE Parking! Invited 3 close friends to join me for Sunday Lunch. I'd booked: "The Sunday Roast Experience" 2 sharing platters at £25 pp. The booking was for 15:00, 3pm. Our reserved table was next to one of the vast floor to ceiling windows with a clear view of the airfield and aircraft taking off and landing. We started with drinks and confirmed to the young friendly waitress that I'd pre-booked The Sunday Roast. Another member of staff (who had booked us in at 'Check In') came across to inform us and the waitress that I had earned 2 FREE Drinks simply for joining The Loyalty Club during the online booking process. We were informed that there was currently a waiting time of around 30 minutes as everything was being prepared to order. Some of the meats had been cooked in The Smoker for over 8 hours!! We declined starters and enjoyed our drinks as we watched the aircraft including a Spitfire and Biplane flying outside. The whole experience was enhanced by the wonderful sunny weather and clear skies. Two Platters arrived: Beef Brisket, Pork, Chicken Legs, Bacon, 'Pigs in Blankets', Yorkshire Puddings, Roast Potatoes and various vegetables and broccoli. Along with 2 boats of gravy! We also had pots of Horseradish and Apple Sauce. The food was lovely and more than enough to satisfy our hungry appetites! We had ordered another round of drinks to accompany the meal. However there's always space for dessert 2 of us had The Dorset Apple Cake and Clotted Cream, another had Sticky Toffee Pudding and my other guest, The Chocolate Tart. We ordered Coffee to go with our sweets. The Apple Cakes were delicious and the portions were large. My guests thought their pudding and tart "could have been a tad larger" BUT said they were also delicious!! We all agreed that we'd enjoyed "The BEST Roast in Dorset" and we've eaten many, many Sunday Roasts at Pubs and Hotels across the county over TOO Many Years than we'd care to mention!!More infoLore of the Sky££££• Barbecue• Shaftesbury•4.3

- SStewartBath/Somerset •3 reviews5.0Dined on 6 May 2026As always Mark was the most welcoming host. The food is always good quality, especially the steaks and the service too. There was one small issue with one of the desserts which Mark was happy to compensate at the checkout. Accidentally left half a bottle of red wine on the table! Gutted! 🤧😂More infoThe Loft££££• Contemporary British• Street•4.9
