SURA HAWAII 🔥 OUR FIRST VISIT! • Awesome first experience! Great for friends, families, birthdays, or dining solo. We were 5 adults, 1 child (8), and 1 infant (14 months) with a stroller. • RESERVATIONS: Book through OpenTable! I spoke with Meg the night before. We celebrated my brother’s birthday (Monday, 19OCT26) on Friday, 23OCT26, since SURA HAWAII is closed Mondays. Our reservation was 17:45. Other available times were 19:45, 20:15, and 22:00. This place fills up FAST! • PARKING: Valet was $5 plus tip. Only about 5 front stalls, so we got lucky! • SEATING: We sat at Tables #29 and #30, near the restroom. The chairs are LOW! I'm 6'6", 285 lbs, and my son is 6'7", 225 lbs. Seating matters! I'd request Tables #27–#30, subject to availability. • TIPS: Ask about restrooms, plates, utensils, and the vegetable station. The rice station has chopsticks, bowls, napkins, and soup spoons. We repeatedly had to ask for forks! • 90-MINUTE AYCE TIP: Learn the ordering tablets immediately! We ordered 3 items at a time, with about a 10-minute wait before ordering again. Categories included “Butchered” and “Kitchen Cooked.” We alternated beef with fried chicken and watched the countdown timer. • KEEP THAT GRILL GOING! Transfer cooked meats to a separate plate and start the next round. Thanks to years of Korean BBQ in Seattle (2012–2026 😂), we know to stay organized and make every minute count! • DRINKS: Water is free, but paper cups are SMALL. Next time, we'll ask about bringing ice buckets, large cups, and utensils. • BIRTHDAY PERK: Huge thanks to Meg! My brother received the birthday promotion. We understood it required at least 5 people and a birthday within 7 days. Confirm current rules with the restaurant. • PRICING: Adults $30 (about $32 with tax); children ages 4–8 $18.50 (about $22 with tax). Drinks extra.
