Best Beer Gardens in Aberlady

Friendly and attentive service staff who made us feel very welcome from the start and couldn’t be faulted. The main (sea bass) that we all had was tasty and nicely presented but there was a hitch when our dessert arrived. I ordered the panna cotta which was OK but I’m sure the peach slices that accompanied it were tinned. The other two desserts were supposed to be orange torte but when they came they weren’t. Seemed to be some sort of (very black) cherry tart with a blob of pink ice cream on top. My companions ate it but it certainly wasn’t what they had ordered. I did bring this up when paying the bill and the cost of their desserts was deducted so kudos to Indigo Yard for that - and the server was very apologetic. Not a deal breaker and it probably won’t put me off returning in the future.

Always a delight to go to Moonwake, especially for the monthly Pub Quiz! The staff are always friendly and attentive, and are very knowledgable and accommodating when it comes to helping you decide which of their various beers would best suit you. The quiz itself is also a consistent treat, with an engaging host who, despite some occasional technical issues, handles the entire affair with an effortless humour. If nothing else, come for the quiz and stay for the brews!

The food was awesome! We had the irn-bru battered fish and chips and mozzarella sticks and they were soooo good!!! The service was excellent, the vibe of the neighbourhood was explicit! Absolutely loved our experience! Thank you and we will be returning!

Was gifted a voucher for The Blackbird. We’ve visited loads of times during the Chilli Cook Off but had never eaten there before. Food was great. We had Bang Bang Chicken, Burrata, Fried Chicken Sarnie (I’m obsessed now with the pineapple kimchi) and Steak Frites. Everything was delicious. The martinis were good too. Service was great.
