    Wonderful as always. This could quite easily be my favourite Hawksmoor. The building in Edinburgh is an old bank with lots of character. Now to the food; outstanding is an understatement. Mum said her ribeye was the best she’d eaten. Bold statement! My chicken was moist and succulent, roasted over coals & full of flavour. I had to have the beef dripping fries with it of course & a Mac & Cheese was ordered for the table (which had the perfect amount of cheese “pull” and full of flavour). We have eaten at numerous Hawksmoor including Piccadilly & Kings X and Edinburgh. We have always found the food & staff to be top notch.

    I met my nephew who lives in Edinburgh and I came over from Kirkcaldy to take him for lunch. It was our first time visiting the Ivy and were not disappointed . Oscar my nephew is Vegan and I vegetarian so there was a varied menu and something to suit everyone I'd say. The food we chose was lovely and the service attentive without being intrusive. I always find it difficult to get a good non alcoholic wine but I was pleased to see Wild Idol on the menu which was well chilled, bubbly and celebratory. There was a nice atmosphere about the place for a Monday although I was told it was a public holiday. We were seated upstairs and looked onto the square, nice to see people coming and going. Will I return? Definitely
