In 1957, Jack and Anne Holder moved to California and opened their first breakfast restaurant, Uncle John’s Pancake House. In 1967, they opened the original Holder’s Country Inn at the old Town & Country Village in San Jose, California, where it flourished for 32 years. Jack and Anne, and their children opened several more restaurants throughout the Bay Area.
