Best Caribbean Restaurants in Ilford

The food was all delicious. Service was great and quick. And it’s a beautiful setting. Plantain was stunning and rum cocktail was the best I’ve tasted - but every dish was very good.

We are on a crusade to dine at all the world's restaurants in London! And we are halfway on B's so ended up in Barbs recommended by Bajans for a true Barbados experience. Dear Reader they were right! It's the best hospitality we have seen to date. The staff from the chef to the owner were attentive and informative.The good did not disappoint when it finally arrived. The fish cakes(balls) were hot and delish,the loaded fries and chicken,chicken curry were seasoned well and very tasty. There was no macaroni cheese which was substitut ed with mozzarella rolls which was nice. The rum punch was so good we wanted more! Then the old skool music started to play and we couldn't resist moving so took to the dance floor! We loved it all! the food ,the staff and ambience. We plan to go back in July with all our friends for a birthday outing. Barbs are the best so far and we have around 170 countries to go......

We chose a selection of 8 dishes between the 2 of us using the 3 plate and 5 plate deal. Everything was delicious and on point. The rum punch was delicious and great value. We had apple crumble and ice cream for dessert. Im quite fussy about my crumble I like it heated up in the oven which it was and gave the crumble that authentic crunchy topping. Good music played but kept at a level where you can comfortably hear each other talk. 💯 recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food and in large quantities. Very good musicians. Loud music, but just right for the place.
