Fabulous second time dining here for my husband's birthday. Perfect place for a very special treat. From the moment you arrive you are looked after and made to feel at home. They remembered a dietary requirement from a previous booking 4 years ago that I had forgotten to add into my booking. We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed a leisurely 3 hour lunch with nibbles, wine and the non-alcoholic pairing was fantastic. The only dish not quite to my liking was the dessert...I would have preferred something less savoury and more sweet. This felt like a cheese course and we had already added one as a supplement. Other than that the service was faultless. We have some goodies to enjoy today. We didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day (and couldn't if we tried)!

We use your restaurant for regular meetings and find it works well for us all as we come from different parts of the country and as my wife is disabled and uses a wheelchair it is very convenient and we love it 👏

We had a lovely evening at this historical pub. The atmosphere was calm, friendly and cosy and we enjoyed the delicious dinner amazingly cooked! Very friendly and polite staff and we will surely return soon because in 2 weeks they change the menu and I'm very keen to try their tenderloin pork squash linguine with fried sage! 😀 Last evening we had a absolutely amazing lamb! 🥂and the cheesecake and tiramisu was fantastic! 😋

Three old friends were visiting Cambridge and it was up to me to find somewhere good to eat. My choice of the Anchor proved universally popular and I would not hesitate to recommend it to all and sundry. Great food and atmosphere and reasonable prices. Top marks.

Lovely place to meet with friends. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the surroundings were lovely. The restaurant has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with great vibes. Everything was spot on, and we couldn’t fault it.
