Visitibn Turino, Italy we looked for authentic restaurants that were fun, casual and reasonable priced. We were delighted to find Obicà Mozzarella Bar. It has indoor and outdoor seating with a varied and original menu. The food was delicious. Our waiter had previously worked at a vineyard and gave great recommendations on wine. We are Matteo and Francesca, a Roman couple—husband and wife—who have brought to San Salvatore Monferrato what we do best: Roman cuisine. He’s in the kitchen, she’s in the dining room, just like in the old-fashioned taverns of yesteryear. At the heart of our success is Matteo, a chef born and trained in Rome. Driven by passion for cooking and having grown up in the kitchens of major hotels, he boasts significant international experience: General Manager of the Broadway Café, and Executive Chef at the Hotel Les Relais and the Radisson Blu in Bamako. Today, Matteo is here, at the stove at Panza Piena. He has a pioneering spirit and a keen eye for ingredients, with a philosophy centered on healthy, delicious, and above all, ethical cuisine: respect for ingredients, traditions, places, and people. No cold reinterpretations: just authentic recipes, quality ingredients, and generous portions—just as Romans would agree.
