We dined there in October 26th. It was our first time in Venice. We had such a good experience and everyone from the hosts to the wait staff was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. When I visit the city again I will be sure to go back! Thank for your service!

I had a wonderful experience at Ristorante Omnibus. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent. Finding real food in Venice often feels like navigating a minefield of tragic tourist traps and frozen pizza joints. Ombra del Leone, however, is a glorious exception—a sanctuary of genuine, uncompromising Venetian cuisine positioned right on the Grand Canal. Do not come here looking for a quick tourist menu. The kitchen operates with flawless, traditional mastery. Their baccalà mantecato served over grilled polenta is a silky, triumphant revelation, and the fegato alla veneziana is executed with a level of historical accuracy that would make a Doge weep with joy. Two critical caveats for the urban traveler: first, do not drop by unannounced. This place is rightfully popular, so securing a reservation in advance is practically mandatory. Second, check your urban urgency at the door. The service moves at a pace that makes a snail look like a sprinter. If you are rushing to catch a vaporettò, you will suffer; if you sit back with a drink (and absorb the view, it is pure heaven. Five well-deserved stars.

Outstanding. From entering to leaving, the table by the canal, the ambience, the service and of course the food, totally incredible! It was an absolute privilege to eat here - I’d wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to find somewhere special to eat in Venice.

My wife and I had dinner at VeRo and it was amazing. Chef Amarante has very unique vision and perfect execution in every one of the dishes, including flawless, yet simple plates that were anything but simple. They also boasted one of the best wine pairings I’ve ever had. I expect to hear much more of this restaurant and the chef in the future, their only momentum is up. And the next time we’re in Venice, of course we’ll be back.
