Best Contemporary Korean Restaurants in Gold Coast / Streeterville

I loved this restaurant. It is an upscale Korean restaurant. Because the dining room is bifurcated, it ends up being pretty quiet so that you can comfortably converse with your dining companions. I liked the Korean inspired cocktails. Everything we ate was delicious: both the grilled and braised beef ribs, both the fried and spicy chicken, the mushroom fried rice, and the japchae noodles. The service was exceptional. I highly recommend Mister Tiger!

Went for dinner before a show at the Chicago Theatre and had the best time! We tried a sampling of small plates and the marinated short rib. Yes it's a Korean BBQ spot but the highlights were definitely the small plates -- specifically the steak tartar toast and monkey bread. The fried chicken was also so good. While they're "small plates" they were easy to share between two people. While the food was incredible, something definitely worth mentioning was the service we received. We were at the Chef's Table and had Amy with us all evening and she was so sweet! She was spot on with all her recommendations, very personable, great conversation without being intrusive and made sure that the birthday we were celebrating was treated like the special occasion that it was. Management also came over to check on us with a smile and when we complimented Amy to them they also started singing her praises which was refreshing - even bragging about not just her skills at the restaurant but how impressed they were with her as a human. It just felt special. We aren't local to Chicago but visit a couple times a year and already are planning on making this a regular spot to visit.

Good food! Would def go back the apps were good and meat grilling was good. They cook for you.
