One of my highlights when visiting Solingen is dining at Scarpati's. (And one of the biggest excitements is successfully parking!) I wish that it were closer to my home. The food is always good. The staff is always accommodating. The atmosphere is always warm and pleasant.

Das Restaurant, das direkt am Düsseldorfer Rheinufer gelegen ist, steht für hochwertige Speisen und und eine ganz besondere Philosophie, die auf herzlicher Gastfreundschaft und perfekt zubereiteten Gerichten aus besten Zutaten beruht. Das Besondere ist jedoch die Speisekarte, auf der fast ausschließlich Spezialitäten mit Fisch oder Meeresfrüchten zu finden sind. Wer Vitello Tonnato, Spaghetti mit Schwertfisch und Auberginen, Steinbutt-Ravioli oder Lasagne mit Krustentier liebt, sollte sich das Da Clà in der Kaistraße im Bezirk Unterbilk unbedingt merken. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and welcoming you to practice your German or to speak English. It was lovely to get to try regional cuisine; we specifically wanted to try sauerbraten, which my partner enjoyed. It was vinegary and salty, and served with a nice applesauce that complimented the dish. I got the haxenpfännchen which was a savory hash of pork knuckle (if you've never had it, it's mostly meat and the skin is crackled). Quite delicious and comes with over a pound of meat and seems like over a pound of potatoes, so come hungry!
