Second time visiting Achray House. The first was because I had heard about their tasting menus. Second time did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING! From the welcome canapes (olive and cheese beignet and a salmon/cream cheese tartlet) to the actual variety of the menu iteself. Not one course disappointed. A lovely little toasted sesame seed topped bun with miso butter - yum. The carrot/miso amuse was unusual and absolutely delicious. The mushroom tortellini in a mushroom consomme was stand out. I loved the pork and fennel dish, although the braised fennel was a bit divisive for some. The chocolate/bramble dessert was gorgeous and, as it can be a bit rich, it was the perfect size. I opted for the matched wine pairing which is excellent value, and Laura is incredibly knowledgeable choosing some wines that you wouldn't normally consider but all worked so well. Will I go back again - absolutely! This place is a gem of a find.
