Best International Restaurants in Froxfield

A comfortable spot to eat in Summertown, north of Oxford. Newly fitted. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good food (we had small plates), if a little pricey, and good selection of wines (even pricier!). Sunday lunch at the end of half-term so it was very quiet. Would recommend.

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast at Layton’s! The roast beef was divine, the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were spot on, and the cauliflower cheese and gravy were amazing! Even better, all the sides were included in the price. Finished off with a gorgeous cheeseboard. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic attentive staff and couldn’t fault a thing. Genuinely one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time. Would highly recommend Layton’s, definitely worth a visit and we’ll certainly be back!

What superb food! This is a fab restaurant, tucked away in Woodstock, that has a great atmosphere (slightly too noisy a speaker over our heads but not enough to really annoy). All sorts of customers - couples, groups and families. The food is sublime - tapas-style including tiger prawns, Norwegian rolls, beautifully cooked lamb, goats cheese, Caesar salad and sourdough with an intriguing beef butter. And excellent value. Absolutely recommend.

Beautiful food and setting, price was very reasonable too. Great service. We attended the comedy night which was great.
