I love Amelia’s. It’s one of the few Gainesville restaurants with tablecloths (and black napkins, so you won’t get white lint on your clothes!). The service is quiet and professional, there are beef, veal, chicken and pasta choices, and the food is cooked to order. My picky husband ate all of his lasagna, and I enjoyed the fresh clams in white sauce on linguine. We shared a side of sautéed spinach. There are cheaper restaurants, but fresh food, an inviting decor, and experienced servers cost money. As an added bonus, they will validate 4 hours of parking at the Sun Center lot. Have a great dinner and walk next door to the Hippodrome Theater.

Always surprised that Jax has such a stunning sophisticated restaurant like this. Everything is on point: the food, the wine list, the cocktails, the ambiance, and decors, the service, the comfortable, luxurious seats… we had a wonderful time there every single time.

Absolutely loved Dolce Vita! My wife and I went for our anniversary. We were greeted immediately and given the option of sitting at the bar or going straight to our table since we showed up about 15 minutes early. We chose to be seated and get started. The table was decorated with rose peddles and an anniversary card. I thought that was a nice gesture. The restaurant was nicely decorated with modern Italian vibe. Our server was awesome and took the time to explain the menu and offer very honest opinions about menu items. There was a nice selection of wine that paired nicely with each menu item. The bar drinks were also delicious. For food, we went with the fried burrata, carbonara, ribeye, soup of the day, caprese salad, and dessert assortment. The food was phenomenal! I can write an entire review on the food alone it was so good, but this review is get long already. My only critique is that the food may have came out a little too quickly so I felt a tad bit rushed, but that was such a minor thing. But also, our server noticed things were moving too quickly so she asked if we wanted a little more time before ordering dessert. That was a good pick up and the perfect way to handle that. Overall, the experience, ambiance, service, and food were all phenomenal and we cannot wait to come back and bring family and friends with us.

The ambience was awesome!! We were greeted by a number of staff and the team was very attentive to all our needs. The portions were large and could be shared so you could try a number of the different entrees. Would definitely go back next time we’re in the area!!
