We went for my daughters 21st birthday as we wanted a restaurant that we could bring our 10 week old puppy too. My daughter is gluten free and thoroughly enjoyed her pasta too, plus the waitress was so accommodating and explained the GF options well. The first course was very tasty but the main (pork chop with cabbage and potatoes) was truly excellent. What made the evening special, though, was the service. We arrived early for the booking, but as soon as I mentioned it, we were ushered to our table. We were offered a complimentary small glass of bubbles. Alasdair served us very courteously and Tobias made the evening special by sharing discussions about the wine with us, also by offering some tastings of new wines. After the meal we were offered a small glass of dessert wine. Add to this that the food was competitively priced with establishments which bring a plate of food to your table and leave it there without so much as a word, then this was a memorable evening.
