We had a great experience at Ornella. Six of us (seven if you include my granddaughter, also called Ornella, as it happens). We're passionate about Italian food, well all cook, and my mother was Italian, so we like to think we know what we're talking about. The food is very good, authentic and the quality of the ingredients shines through every dish. Standout plates for me were the risotto allo zafferano and the maltagliati al granchio. The pea, onion and guanciale side dish was also stupendous. Staff were great, attentive without being overbearing, exactly the right balance. There is also an interesting wine list with a particularly delicious Vigne Marina Coppi 'Sant' Andrea', Barbera from Piemonte. We ended up quaffing two of those and a slightly less delicious (but still very acceptable) Bianco di Custoza Superiore. Highly recommended.
