Best Japanese Restaurants in Glenrothes

The best Japanese restaurant in Edinburgh. I love Japanese food and have been in Japan twice. I have also been in many other Japanese restaurants. Yamato is truly excellent! We've been there a few times now, and the staff remember us too, they gave us the perfect table and even brought me a mochi with a cute candle for my birthday. They've also added seasonal plates and specials. The oyster were worthy of Matsushima (though smaller), and the lobster tempura was sensational! We'll definitely go back again at the first occasion!

Well actually we showed up a day early! But the hostess was so kind - she completely understood. While waiting to be seated, the taxi driver came in to tell us our payment did not go through. The Wagamama staff was most patient while we tried to get that settled! Turns out it was his connection on the machine and not our credit card (whew!). Once we were seated, menus provided, and drinks ordered - it was time to sit back and enjoy! The service was professional and very friendly. The food was as expected - wonderful! The grilled chicken ramen was so satisfying with the rich broth, tender chicken, and perfectly cooked noodles. For dessert we ordered the coconut reika ice cream - perfect way to end a meal. Next time we are in Edinburgh (or any city lucky enough to have a Wagamama) we will be there!!

A great spot for dinner, the food was delicious and the service attentive & friendly. Would definitely come back!

An extensive and varied menu of Japanese food. Our party chose two different types of rice bowl along with curries and all were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Separate gluten free menu with a wide range of choices. Friendly staff and tasty, freshly cooked dishes. Glad we booked as avoided the need to join the long queue. We always enjoy dining at Wagsmama.
