Best Japanese Restaurants in Midlothian

Always a great experience at momotaro, we were stuck in traffic and took an unexpectedly long time to reach and they were accommodating to the best of their ability on a Saturday night. Their sample dishes like the spaghetti and lamb chops are always phenomenal and some of the newer dishes (at least to us) like the Maguro (a blue fin tuna app) were complex and delicious. We were seated at the bar (due to when we arrived) and the service was just as phenomenal as being at a table and more fun.

We ended up trying Sushi-San on a whim not knowing anything about the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. First, our server (sorry don’t remember her name) was outstanding. She had a great sense of the menu and was very helpful in choosing our items. Second, all of the food we tried was outstanding. While we focused primarily on nigiri, the starters we tried were also very good. My only disappointment (very minor) was the “sogginess” of the nori on the hand roll. By the time it was delivered to our table the nori was definitely chewy. Finally, this is a restaurant that you can easily return to as they have a very broad menu that includes items beyond traditional sushi. I will definitely be back!

Absolute top shelf dining experience, exceptional fish and entrees. Price compareable to similar establishments in the suburbs.

Service was excellent. Food was great and the ambience of the place is unique and beautiful.

The bento boxes ... Amazing! This should be their signature dish! I had a great experience at this place. Japanese food lover? Look no more!
