Best Japanese Restaurants in University of South Florida

Dinner at RO in Hyde Park last night was nothing short of incredible! 🍣✨ Every single dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the Popcorn Shrimp, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Shrimp, Skirt Steak, Carbonara Noodles, Ramen Noodles, Salmon Crudo, and General Tso’s Cauliflower — and WOW, everything was phenomenal! The flavors, presentation, and quality of the food were outstanding. We loved getting to try so many different dishes, and not a single one disappointed! RO definitely exceeded our expectations! Already looking forward to our next visit and trying even more of the menu. Highly recommend! 🍣👏

Food & Service were great! I believe our chef was "American Hottie" and he did a great job! He paid attention to what we wanted and cooked everything to perfection.

fun experience with the teppanyaki cook. food was great and hot. Sirloin steak was very yummy and tender, I thought I had ordered filet accidently it was so tender. Brian was an awesome server and kept on top of the many needs of 9 guests. we enjoyed Monday Happy Hour with my favorite, Plum Wine!

Great value. The quality makes this place the best all you can eat sushi places in town. It's more expensive than most others, but the quality more than makes up for it. Service was good, but not great. We've been here several times and the food generally comes out quickly, however there are always items that drag on and the server has to check on multiple times. The rolls themselves are good, but nothing screams "great." The use of pickled jalapeno in everything versus fresh jalapeno is a complete miss for me. It ruins the flavor of the fish, especially hamachi. The sashimi does not disappoint, however, and is what really drives the value. It's definitely worth a visit and we'll be back.
