They had just barnished their wall I think and the smell was a little overpowering. Everything else was excellent as always!

Had an incredible experience at Kai Sushi Bar in Polanco. We chose the Premium Omakase with wine tasting, and it was absolutely worth it. The timing between each course was perfectly structured — never rushed, never too slow — allowing us to truly enjoy every bite. Chef did an outstanding job guiding us through the experience, explaining each selection in detail, the origin of the fish, and the preparation style. His knowledge and passion really elevated the evening. We tried some amazing selections that we probably wouldn’t have ordered on our own, and every piece felt intentional and beautifully executed. The wine pairing complemented the courses very well and enhanced the overall experience. For the quality, atmosphere, and level of attention, the cost-benefit is excellent. A premium omakase experience that delivers on every level. Will definitely be recommending and coming back our next visit to Mexico City.

I’ve been to Tatsugoro about 8 times, and it has always been great. But with recent changes in their Executive Chef they have increased their level to absolutely amazing. In my 15 years of visiting Tokyo, I have rarely had better sushi than what I experienced yesterday at Tatsugoro.

Great food as always. Expensive as usual but consider competition in the area is heavy! Instead of being a regular as I used too… focus on service and best quality.
