Best Modern European Restaurants in Sutton-in-Ashfield

We went on a particularly busy Saturday night and despite being short-staffed, the two waitresses did an amazing job. Me and my sister were celebrating our birthday and we received a complimentary glass of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. We both chose the rib eye steak which was one of the best steak's we'd ever had - perfect. The restaurant itself was lovely with a really nice atmosphere. Knocked a star off for value, as the desserts could have done with being a bit bigger. However, heartily recommend this restaurant, in fact we did, to our fellow guesthouse visitors!

After randomly finding this place we were overwhelmed at just how fantastic it was.. The food was spot on, the service excellent and the quality of the table etc was perfection.. We will be back

We ate at Chestergate Bistro last night and as usual found the food to be exceptional as always. To start with the complementary amuse bouche were very tasty . Spiced cauldron soup shots, apple slaw and a tiny bruschetta. We both had chicken liver pate with crusty warmed bread. Then shoulder of lamb which melted in the mouth. Excellent food and service !
