Best Oyster Bars in East Lyme

My wife and I dined at Liv’s last night and the service and food was outstanding, as always! It’s one of the only restaurants that I leave there every time, asking my wife “ why don’t we come here more often?” The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean with a good overall “vibe” and everything we’ve ordered off of the menu has been outstanding! We’ll be back again soon and I highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful inside and out with outstanding drinks, food and service. Will return.

Sofia was a great server, and everything was well prepared and delicious. The consistency of the experience is impressive. The raw oysters and clams were super fresh, and we enjoyed everything.

We had a great meal - shared the crab & artichoke dip, a burger and the chicken paillard - while sitting on the covered deck watching the sunset. A beautiful place with great service and delicious food. We can’t wait to come back.

Exactly what we wanted…excellent food and superb service. Cocktail shrimp were large, cold, crisp and delicious. Oysters were sublime. Trout and salmon were perfectly cooked. Crème brûlée can’t be beat. We highly recommend Max Oyster Bar.
