We visited The Court in Durham on 21 October 2026 for a work lunch and were genuinely blown away by the beautiful decor. Since its reopening, it has clearly had a wonderful transformation, and the interior is absolutely stunning. All eight of us commented on how beautiful the place looked, which says it all! The menu is great, with some lovely options to choose from. Although it’s not quite as extensive as the menu under the previous ownership before the renovation, there is still plenty to enjoy, and the overall experience more than made up for it. It’s wonderful to see The Court back open and looking so fabulous. A real credit to the new team, and somewhere that feels special the moment you walk in. We all had a lovely experience and would happily return. Durham has a real gem here!

Service was superb! And we loved Pie Night. Excellent food and puddings! Thank you. Added to our holiday. The young woman serving us was delightful and so friendly.

Another beautiful Sunday lunch. Took advantage of the lunch and any drink offer for £16; went down with a nice pint of cider for me and a pint for hubby.

Went for a Sunday roast last weekend and OMG it was one of the best roast dinners I have eaten in a long time! We both had the chicken, and it came with everything I would ever want on a roast! Both mashed and roast potatoes, the creamy greens were unreal, all the trimmings and good yorkshires and best of all an amazingly generous portion of gravy! We scraped the plate clean and enjoyed it so much we have booked to come back next weekend! The hussar does such great food what a great pub!
