Best Seafood Restaurants in Whitemarsh Island

First time in Savannah and Vic’s on the River did not disappoint. We had the fried green tomatoes and the crawfish beignets and for main the scallops and salmon fillet. All dishes were delicious and our server was very attentive. Great job overall!!!

We made reservations on OpenTable. In the reservation, we put that it was our anniversary. We were greeted by Sam at the hostess stand. She was super sweet and told us happy anniversary. They put us at the top seating that way we could overlook the restaurant. Our server Mchale was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and funny. We got the gnocchi and bread as an appetizer. They were both phenomenal. The bread was so fluffy the butter to go with it had a great flavor. The sauce for the gnocchi was amazing and creamy. My husband got the salmon and I got the chicken. The chicken was so much food. I wish I could have ate it all. It was so delicious and crispy and it was served over grits. The cocktails were also amazing. I have zero complaints about anything.

Wonderful in every way! Service was impeccable with everyone being very kind and attentive. We started with wonderful cocktails. Don’t miss the bone marrow washed bourbon, it’s velvety and exquisite! The appetizer of blue crab deviled eggs was a delicious choice out of many to choose from, and we look forward to trying them all! My husband had the smash-burger, which was perfection and oh those amazing fries!!! But what stole the show was the southern schnitzel! This is everything comfort food should be. From the perfect crust on the chicken, to the red cabbage sauerkraut, to the bed of creamy spatzle, to hands down the best collard greens in Savannah (I’m a local, so don’t question me on that, lol!), this is THE dish that will make you want to book your next reservation before you’ve even finished your meal. Food was delicious! And service was outstanding! My brother and I split an entree & they didn’t skimp on fries for either of us. Great experience!

Great for a night out! Our server, Sergio, was very accomodating and got us a bigger table when we had some extra friends join us last minute.
