MALT Bar & Deli is set in the heart of the historic town of Sherburn-In-Elmet in North Yorkshire and is the brainchild of local couple Clare and Ant Eckford. Named after their four children – Molly, Anna, Lucy and Tom, it is a real passion project for them both, bringing a place to meet the needs of the changing community and to enhance our small but vibrant town centre.Situated on the site of the former Fultons frozen foods store, we bring you locally roasted coffee, cakes and brunch items during the day and transform into a fabulous bar in the evenings. We also operate as a deli – fine cheeses and charcuterie to takeaway or eat in on our sharing platters, which includes a Yorkshire platter featuring Starkeys award winning pork pies!     A brilliant experience from beginning to end, the staff were lovely, the wine choice was fantastic and the charcuterie was a brilliant size. We will absolutely be back! Only 2 very small notes, keep in mind the space is very small so if you’re claustrophobic this may not be the place for you. Secondly a note to the manager, it might be worth getting Spotify premium, or anything that doesn’t jump into an advertisement every 10 mins as it really affects the atmosphere. Playlist choice was 10/10 though.

    Our first bit definitely not last visit to Plonkets, chosen due to vicinity of the theatre, across the road. The service, from the Bar Manager, was outstanding and he was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, compliments to the chef. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing experience.
