Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Copake Lake

We arrived early for our reservation. Hostess was very gracious. Found us a spot even though the Tavern was fully booked. We opted for two bar seats and that was even better. Mia at the bar was a delight. Lunch was quite good. Roasted Brussel sprouts app gets a solid recommendation and Chicken pot pie was a New England treat. Drinks were great. (spiked apple cider) A bit expensive but I've found drinks are almost anywhere you go. Overall a really nice experience.

Service was spectacular, the ambience fantastic and the decor very welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter and son-in-law for their first anniversary, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place! They had an incredible dinner at Matilda and absolutely loved everything; from the food and cocktails to the ambiance and wonderful staff. My son-in-law is a true foodie and very hard to impress. He rates every restaurant he visits and said that while he would never give a perfect score because he doesn’t know what “perfect” tastes like, Matilda would probably be it! He even ordered an extra dessert, which he never does! They both described their experience as perfection and couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved this place. Thank you, Matilda, for making their anniversary so special. I highly recommend it!

Excellent service and delicious food unique to this restaurant. A beautiful spot for our anniversary dinner enhanced by the attentiveness of the service, with recommendations made we thoroughly enjoyed and might not have otherwise tried.
