- GGerryNew York City •16 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Oct 2026An extraordinary evening at L’abeille for the October 15 chef-in-residence dinner with Michel Roux of London’s celebrated Le Gavroche and Chef Mitsu. The menu brought Le Gavroche’s signature dishes together with L’abeille’s own creations, with thoughtful wine pairings and warm, personal hospitality. The meal unfolded like a great jazz performance, building toward a series of memorable solos. Chef Roux’s Soufflé Suissesse was like eating a cloud: light and airy, yet wonderfully rich without overwhelming. Chef Mitsu’s Mediterranean red mullet with kabocha squash and sauce bordelaise provided a lovely transition to my favorite dish of the evening: Artichaut Lucullus. The artichoke heart filled with truffles and foie gras, accompanied by Madeira truffle sauce, left me briefly speechless. The roast duck supreme with sunflower purée and port jus was another standout, beautifully cooked with crisp skin and tender meat. If pressed to rank them: artichoke first, soufflé second, duck third—but it was a photo finish. Sommelier Steve Kim’s recommendations complemented the menu beautifully. Comparing the artichoke with both the Meursault and Côte-Rôtie was a particular pleasure. Cheese, a delicate pear dessert, and mignardises brought the evening to a satisfying close. One small gesture captured the hospitality: knowing how much I enjoy a madeleine with my Sunday coffee, the staff sent me home with an extra. This Sunday, that madeleine brought the whole evening back. Exceptional cooking, gracious service, and a memory worth savoring.More infol'abeille$$$$• French• TriBeCa•4.9
- AAnneNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined on 12 Oct 2026We celebrated our twins’ 16th birthday at Capital Grille with a group of 11, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated in a private room, which made the celebration feel extra special. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The entire staff was friendly, kind, helpful, and communicative, making sure everything went smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for such a special occasion. We highly recommend Capital Grille and look forward to returning!More infoThe Capital Grille - NY- Wall Street$$$$• Steakhouse• Financial District•4.9
