Another wonderful relaxing Improvised Monday evening dinner as not much in the fridge as I just returned from a trip away. Lovely seasonal Autumnal Pitiviers dish for mains and yummy Rhum Baba for dessert. Just perfect!

This is honestly the best value best food best service restaurant in Berkshire ! I’ve been gong for over twenty years to Lsb and it’s simply the best menu at the best always price ! Yes it’s gone up a bit but omg for the quality and variance and service outside of London you simply can’t beat it ! A sign of a good restaurant, especially in the south east, is staff retention LSB staff are young die hearts they ve been with Paul forever and this shows mutual respect and for us punters it’s great to see a familiar face and be recognised as a guest or a long term guest they are great. I’m not affiliated to LSB in any way I simply just do not believe outside or even inside of London you will get a better value meal with first class food first class service well done LSB fives stars from me yet again . FYI I was a party of four and the other 3 guests said exactly the same !

First time visiting Lumiere yesterday and I have to say what a lovely time we had. From the greeting we received as we walked in, through to the end of the fantastic meal the experience was outstanding. As for the food, we've eaten in some top rated restaurants all over the country and this was en par with anything we've had anywhere. From the very first canapé which was literally a work of art to the last course, the damson soufflé every course was beautiful. The most difficult part of lunch was when we were asked which course was the best, such a tough question when they were all of this standard, I suppose it just boils down to which one resonated with your particular palate the most. For me it was the Cornish sea bass, simply outstanding, flavour combinations where every element of the dish had a part to play and delivered in spades. My wife's favourite was the duck, complete with duck liver parfait encased in white chocolate !! it certainly played tricks on the tastebuds. Special mention must also go to the palate cleanser signature Tequila Slammer, a little bit of theatre which was super refreshing half way through the meal. Suffice to say we will be returning to Lumiere as we cant wait to see how the menu changes through the coming seasons. Thankyou everyone at Lumiere, a treat not to be missed

Superb tasting menu in a well converted setting bringing country pub and fine dining together seamlessly. Charming service and an excellent set of predominantly South African wines served with a genuinely interesting introduction.

Exceptional food, individual style and a restaurant with real character The Vault 327 is a restaurant that makes an impression. Its contemporary, distinctive interior has a style and personality all of its own, and you can tell considerable thought has gone into creating something different. We visited on a quieter evening, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, although I can imagine the place really coming alive at weekends. The menu is particularly interesting, bringing together British and European favourites with Indian and international influences. It's an imaginative combination that gives the restaurant its own identity rather than making it feel like just another steakhouse. We both enjoyed starters before choosing the fillet steak, and the food was exceptional. Both steaks were cooked medium rare to perfection: beautifully tender, full of flavour and exactly as requested. Compliments to Head Chef Sachin and the kitchen team for delivering such a lovely meal. The service was equally impressive. Everyone we encountered was extremely courteous and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. There was just one small detail worth mentioning: we weren't given steak knives with our fillets. It's a minor point, but when the food is this good, those little finishing touches matter. Overall, The Vault 327 has a distinctive identity, an interesting menu, exceptional food and a genuinely courteous team. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would happily return. A restaurant with real character and plenty to recommend it.

    We had one of the best evenings we’ve ever had. Great and generous range of unusual, delicate, flavoursome dishes. Passionate and creative chef who made it a very personal experience. Extremely ambient atmosphere and unique. Would highly recommend.
