I come back to Sonora Grill (all over Mexico) because the food & service are typically excellent. If you are not prepared for loud music or big TV screens, this is not the place to enjoy a quiet, relaxing or romantic evening. The quality is high, which is reflected in the pricing which I why I count on Sonora Grill.

La Imperial Samara was a completely different experience. The menu is far more complete than Virreyes, and everything we tried was excellent. The suckling pig tacos were delicious, the fideo seco perfectly executed, and the filet chemita was outstanding—the meat cooked flawlessly. The atmosphere, the view, and the friendliness of the staff made the whole experience even better. This is definitely the menu and quality level that should also be implemented at Virreyes, where the food felt disappointing on my previous visit despite the excellent service. Only small note: hopefully they can upgrade the Spotify account soon… we got commercials during dinner.

Fantastic service and good food. Staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely return at our next visit to Mexico City.

Amazing dining experience. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the space was very welcoming. The Lomo Saltado ane the Tacu Tacu were especially good.
