The Punch Bowl is a 17th century newly refurbished restaurant and pub located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and South Essex salt marshes. Chef Patron Rob and Front of House Manager Sally run a Two AA Rosette-rated restaurant, offering a nose-to-tail style menu with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily as the season's best comes in. Smiths always guarantees great food, great service and great ambience. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and totally professional. Would always recommend this restaurant and lean more towards a special occasion as it always delivers a first class experience.

Enjoyed a lovely evening at Minoa with friends. Loved every detail. Highly recommend the cocktails and we really enjoyed a mix of starters and mains. Looking forward to returning to trying some more of the menu! Fab atmosphere, and great music in the background. Can't wait to go back!

Always a pleasure to visit all my friends! was celebrating my 27th and the vibes were perfect, great DJs and all round a perfect day out. pizzas were great as well, 10/10 as usual!

The food was fantastic and amazing. The ambiance was great. The overall service, however, can be revamped. Food took a long time to arrive, and the table wasn't set properly after we moved and asked repeatedly for it to be set properly. However, our second and serving waiter was fantastic. She delivered excellent service. Management needs to use her as the standard to ensure a consistent experience.
