Food was fabulous. Adam makes some superb dishes with real imagination. The lamb and the pulled pork belly were outstanding and my vegetarian daughter raved about the mushroom burger. It would be nice to have some draft beers.

The drawing room closes at 7pm and our on line booking was for 7pm so we were re allocated to their No 43 restaurant which is open from 7pm to 9pm. The restaurant has a lovely view out to the sea with a larger menu than the drawing room Great service in pleasant surroundings. The food was of a good standard and came out pretty quickly.

We went with friends for the Sunday lunch. The food was excellent. Two had the delicious roast dinners and two had fish. Portions were just right. The service was excellent. It’s so nice to see a pub which still feels like a proper community pub and to see people, young and old, just being happy. A great pub and can’t wait to go back.
