Had a lovely experience here for my birthday. I love that they have all the Cooper’s Hawk wines- including the nonalcoholic Vivanté selections for me, as I don’t drink anymore. Food was delicious! We started with the bread (it’s their pizza dough with course salt, side of EVOO and a tomato confit of sorts- it’s tasty, but NOT complementary fyi) and the squash blossom fritters (just YUM, the lemon aioli brightened it up, maybe a touch too sweet and too much of it on the plate, but still good and then some of that tomato confit, which I wish there was a little more of). Then for dinner- I had the cacio e pepe (the pasta tasted fresh & homemade, the portion size was perfect, it was a simple classic made well) and my friend had the chicken parm (she devoured the plate, so enough said there haha). Our server brought out a complementary birthday treat- a scoop of vanilla gelato with caramel and their pistachio chocolate biscotti (newer I believe)- literally the BEST biscotti I’ve ever had in my life. It wasn’t rock hard like a lot of biscotti is- it was perfectly crisp on the outside for the classic crunch but the had a lovely chewy texture on the inside. Our server, was so kind, helpful, and allowed us the time to catch up without making us feel forgotten- major kudos to him Piccolo Buco! Ambiance was nice: dim lighting, temperature was perfect, I like that there were high ceilings and different dining areas so it didn’t feel cramped. Moderate noise level, but that’s just all the diners enjoying themselves and their company! Easy to get a reservation here on Open Table too- booked it the night before! Excited to go back and try more dishes!

I have been here twice for breakfast despite not being a guest at the hotel because of its proximity to O’Hare. Both times I have been impressed with the quality of the food and how the staff across the board is friendly and prompt.

The food and service at this restaurant are wonderful. We dine here about once a month or six weeks and have had quite a few of their entrees. They have the best soup - their Minestrone is chock full of veggies. Other soups are also excellent, especially their claim chowder and shrimp bisque. We both had the veal Marsala and it is fantastic. The veal medallions are tender and tasty, there are multitudes of mushroom and their Marsala sauce is to die for. The veal is placed over the pasta of your choice, so you can sop up the sauce with the pasta. And, Angelos has the best bread anywhere. It's crusty and delicious.
