Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Sandy Hook

What a fantastic restaurant! Gorgeous setting, our waiter was superb, the food was fabulous! Great experience! Can't wait to return!

For our wedding anniversary, my wife and I had dinner at Moderne Barn. We each started with an Aperol Spritz. We shared the Whipped Burrata for our appetizer. For our entrees, my wife had the Barn Salad and I had the Wasabi Pea Crusted Tuna. We shared the Chocolate S’mores Crème Brulee for our dessert. All the food and drink were perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. Our server Hank was absolutely wonderful and very attentive to all our questions and requests. We will certainly be returning to Moderne Barn very soon.

The Manager also came to check in on our anniversary dinner and it meant so much. Celebrated my husband’s birthday along with our daughter & her family. The service & food were outstanding & my husband couldn’t have been happier. Whether you’re looking for an intimate atmosphere, a girls night out or a place to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming. The staff is wonderful. We had potato croquettes and the crab/lobster cake as starters. Both were wonderful. The potatoes had black truffle. I ordered the beef wellington which was phenomenal and my wife had the short ribs that were cooked perfectly. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. We will definitely be going back.
