Best Date Night restaurants in Mayfield

Yet another outstanding lunch and first class dining experience at the Poet, this time the chocolate week menu. The foie gras starter was melt in the mouth and sooo tasty, leaving you eagerly awaiting the next course. The main of octopus and scallops was the best octopus dish I have ever had - soo good. The multi taster chocolate dessert plate was beautifully presented and a great way to round off an outstanding lunch. Beautifully presented, sumptuous food and the usual highly impressive, impeccable service from engaging staff, this time led by Poppy. We will be back as soon as we can.

We had a lovely birthday meal at the White Hart. The service was incredible. Staff are absolutely lovely. Prettiest place to have a lovely Sunday roast!

Very good Sunday roast very generous portions, excellent service. The venison carpaccio starter was superb. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Another wonderful meal at Kumquat. I had the prawn ceviche and the pork 3 ways, which were both amazing. Kumquat negroni also very tasty. Service from the two waitresses was very professional.

Steak night on Fridays is great value for money. Their included bottle of red (cabernet sauvignon) was actually quite good. Very happy with the service as well. Professional and kind staff. The steak was pretty good and the sides were excellent (the mushrooms especially).
