Best Restaurants for Groups in Portland

I had a wonderful first dining experience here this weekend. Hubby and I decided to get the prix fixe, chef’s choice menu in order to get a sampling of surprises. We ate appetizers: tuna with beets (I think) and house made pickled vegetables, and then they brought biscuits and duck broth to the table. I’ll pause here to rave about this offering. I’ve never had anything like this before so it was a totally unique and absolutely delicious combination. I couldn’t decide if it tasted like dessert or something savory because it was umami and warming spices and rich carbs all at once. Then we were brought a beautiful plate of dragon carrots served whole sliced down the middle. We had scallops, and then the main course which was monkfish and Shepherds pie. We were pleased because these were the entrees we were going to order before we were sold on the chefs choice menu. Both were excellent. There was a blueberry corn cake and pumpkin loaf for dessert. Also had a really nice glass of wine with dinner. I’ll be coming here again.

Over all we really enjoyed our meals. The food was cooked perfectly and the flavors and portions were great. And the cocktails were really great. And maybe I'm just getting used to high prices, but the prices for the food served seemed really good, a great value. The only thing I would ding them on is that the service was really slow. It took about 40 minutes from the time we ordered for our entrees to arrive. And the restaurant was only about half full. Also our server forgot some things (like we asked 3 times for slice of orange for our Blue Moon). But he was super friendly and acknowledged the issues and apologized, so we will definitely go back.

Great Friends, Great Food, loads of fun. The chef was very entertaining and very talented in the art of Hibachi cooking. We were entertained the entire meal and the food was delicious.

We brought a big family group to celebrate our twins 17th birthday. Our server Nick was fun, engaging, super helpful and prompt with everything! The noise in Buffalo Wild Wings is sometimes a lot but the TV volumes were not super high and we were able to talk and enjoy our time together! The food was great and overall a really good experience. Thank you BDubs for making this a great outing for our family!
